A decent city centre hotel with exceptional staff!

An "average" hotel stay made exceptional by the friendly helpful staff who couldn't do enough for us. We opted for a large double room which was plenty big enough (and very clean) for us.
Unfortunately we didn't get to eat in the restaurant but the menu looked good and the buffet breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. We did have a drink in the bar where there was a good selection of beers ( including some local specialities).
We didn't have many options so took a chance with Hotel De Croone, despite some negative reviews, and are happy we did. We would certainly stay here again.

Friendly customer service.

I booked 2 nights at the end of November for December 15 and 16.
On December 14, I made a phone call with a question and was stunned to be told that the price I paid was for one night when it was clearly indicated for 2 nights..after having communicated with the service customers for more than 5 minutes I was subjected to verbal aggression as well as a refusal of overnight stays!
As the error was not assumed by the hotel, I strongly advise you not to go there.
Given their kindness...the price of one night is well worth 2!!!!!!

Average hotel

On the plus side: prices, staff, location within the city center, decent breakfast
On the minus side: dark and small rooms, very warm without (noicy) airco, outlived interior.
Given the price (and the town it is located in) average on its best.

Bedbugs

I stayed for 2 nights for work purposes. On a plus the staff are friendly. Unfortunately the place itself is just not good. The rooms are very very basic - which i dont mind as long as they are clean. When i got up in morning i was completely covered in red blotches from bed bugs. There was lots of flies around the breakfast area which was very off putting. I asked for a taxi to be called but the phone was not working, the lady did give me a taxi number though. I would not recommend this place to stay in again.

94 euros for a dump

Stayed here for one night because of a business event in town. Upon walking in, an enormous sewer smell came my way. Checking in is in the adjacent restaurant: wouldn’t want to eat here for the world. The room is to be described as spartan at best. For 94 euros or even had it been half: a joke. Don’t go here!
