Very satisfied

For the first time we stayed for a midweek in your very nicely renovated, spacious studio overlooking the dunes. Everything was just and fine with including very good bed.
We also enjoyed your friendliness, the good food and the pleasant decor of eg. The à la carte restaurant.
In short: we booked back for September

An example in terms of customer friendliness for many other hotels!

I already gave a good review via booking but also want to emphasize here what a customer friendliness you get in Ter Helme.
A great example is that we forgot a plush animal
I got a call myself and because the shipment could only happen a few days later, we got an email written for children that panda is coming home a few days later because he had celebrated a few days extra vacation with a whole photo report what panda had done.
Many coastal hotels may take a leaf out of that
In itself it is ‘just’ an email but makes all the difference!

No price for value

There are too many but...room (full apartment) is acceptable but...cleaning service is excluded...so you pay like Ryanair...towels excluded....breakfast 16 euro very poor even for 16 euro and the self-service is very cheap. Internal bike service no available...and this is very bad because there aren't taxi or Uber available. At the end of the day 232 euro (without breakfast and cleaning service/towels) per night it's really too much compared with what we had.

Never again!

Arriving after work on a Friday around 8pm everything was closed. A charming bartender of a certain age gave us the map of our room. But this one did not fit!! This gentleman did everything he could to make it right, but no building official did anything. Result, we have moreover in the hotel without enjoying the outside (on a night c was the goal!)!! The next day the receptionist gave us no compensation and was completely indifferent to the situation!!

Perfect place for a weekend or short holiday at the Belgian coast

The rooms are very comfortable and quiet, some are even studios.
Meals are offered at democratic prices in self-service: soup, starter, main course, dessert.
Coffee/tea is not included, nor drinks other than water. You have to get them at the bar.
Beautiful sunny terrace!
