Perfect apartment

An experience richer

A weekend Ostend in room deluxe twin back. A spacious but uncozy room where the throw pillows on the bed were full of brown spots. There was 1 night light present which did not work. The room was clean at first sight but in detail you saw dirt and mold. The breakfast was more than adequate but the receptionist found it necessary to clean the cupboards during breakfast in the breakfast room.

Good food, neat rooms – but service could be warmer

We stayed 5 days (4 nights) at Hotel Le Bassin and paid about €700 for our stay. Overall we were satisfied: the hotel is very clean and well maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful.
What we lacked, however, was warmth and spontaneity among the owners. There was little contact — even a simple “good morning” as you walked by would make a difference. That could have made the stay more personal and cozy.
Breakfast was fine, but felt a bit standard. There was plenty of choice, but some extra variety (such as smoked salmon, préparé or a pancake) would make it just that little bit more special. Too bad the eggs were usually cold. Upon entering, they immediately asked “coffee or tea?”, but asking for a cappuccino didn’t always seem to happen with much enthusiasm.
Small points of improvement: the bottle of water in the room was not replenished after the first day, and on the penultimate day we were not given clean towels. For the price we paid, such details should be correct.
The restaurant is really recommended – the food was very tasty and catered for.
Overall, a neat and good hotel with good food, but it lacks some warmth, attention to detail and a family feel to really top it off.

Everything is perfect the staff and cleanliness it lacks nothing. The other hotels in allentout are nothing next door
