Top hotel

Top hotel, very nice reception very friendly, good kitchen (Bistro), good breakfast. Beautiful room. Nice departure point for bike trips to Terneuzen and the Drowned Land of Saeftinghe.

Exceptional !!!

5 Star Hotel feeling for the price of Backpacker accommodation. Staff highly professional & friendly. Rooms super clean and feels like home rather then a Hotel room. As a formal Travel agent I have never seen a better value for money accommodation anywhere else. Fun fact, part of the driveway is in Belgium although the Hotel is in Netherlands : )

Cosy and clean

A very nice hotel with very friendly staff. The room and bathroom spotless. Breakfast was great and coffee being served. Only one small remark: indication that you can ask for fried eggs, an omelette etc would be great. Boiling the eggs takes experience and you have to do it yourself. Overall: big recommendation.
On the opposite of the hotel is a great nature park where it is great to go for a walk.

Very bad experience

We have been in this Hotel for almost 3 months every weekend, had almost all (large) rooms, in the beginning we thought: nice and friendly hotel...... nothing could be further from the truth! 3 months of whining about the poor (usually no channels) reception of the TV.
Then the cleaning crew which searches your suitcases and steals from your suitcase, from us chocolates and expensive perfume stolen!
The wells in the bathroom went through very badly, itself been so bad that it flooded.
Last week I suddenly became seriously ill, and had to be rushed to the hospital, 1 night and 2 times breakfast, gone.
Because we come there so long, we expected them to offer something, since a few weeks before we also got stolen! Nothing but nothing at all!
This weekend I asked myself, with a lot of pain and fatigue we get the money back from the crappy breakfast!
But let's see when they pay it back?
And to make matters worse, we also see the 2 head scarves that have robbed us, so nothing is done about thieving staff! This weekend was for us the last time at this Hotel! We had to stay overnight for a few months, but we will do this in a GOOD hotel!
We paid enough there (is not a cheap hotel) you are not listened to!
The hotel is also located in front of a very busy roundabout, very noisy and a lot of noise from cars and trucks.
Oh yes and lastly, dogs are accepted in this hotel, in your so-called luxury hotel room the doilies around and under the bed are completely wet and shit, smells terrible and we were unable to sleep for 1 night by a dog that was barking all night while the owners were out!
This hotel is not even worth 1 star!!!!
Update: as we expected, despite Ann Verstraeten's promise, no money has been refunded from breakfast! Says enough about the mentality of this hotel!!!

Surprisingly good hotel

Friendly welcome, neat hotel, beautiful breakfast, ample parking (no elevator) , we will be back with pleasure.
