A well-run farm hotel...but with a fly issue
The rooms are modern, with very good showers ensuite. But there's no aircon, and the reception was unable to provide us (or others who also asked) with fans, even during the scorching summer 2026 heatwaves... something the hotel will need to consider in future as, at around £115 a room per night, it should be addressed.
However, the charm of being on a farm (with impressive polytunnels and tractor buildings to explore) is slightly undermined by cattle grazing mere metres from the rooms. The unspoken issue at the Ferme is flies.
They're everywhere. The open restaurant with its high vaulted room and wide doors allowing a through breeze mean flies are constantly buzzing around your food.
If you open the windows in the hotel rooms, in they come. If you keep them closed, it gets very hot in summer.
Very good food, however - gourmet standard, with a comprehensive wine selection and well-stocked bar with free nibbles served.
I'd go back, but maybe out of the hot season when - hopefully - the flies won't be so plentiful.

A lovely setting with great amenities.
Although we arrived after reception had closed we emailed ahead and arrangements were made for us to check in at the bar/restaurant. We were also offered a limited food choice even though we arrived just before 10pm.
The rooms are functional, well appointed with a good wet room with both an overhead shower and hand held shower head. The beds were comfortable and the rooms clean.
Overall a good nights sleep spent on our way back to the UK from an Alpine holiday.
Very good location
