Great experience

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! We came as a family and felt at home from the very first moment. The staff were so kind and ready to help with anything we needed. The food was delicious. One of our favorite parts was how easy it was to explore the area by bicycle. There are bike paths everywhere, and it was such a fun way to see the surroundings together. We made so many happy memories riding around as a family! The whole atmosphere of the hotel is warm, welcoming, and relaxed — perfect for vacation. We truly enjoyed every minute of our stay and we can't wait to come back again. Highly, highly recommended! ‍♂️✨

STAY AWAY! This hotel is a nightmare for your privacy and your wallet. After we checked out, they took it upon themselve

This hotel is a nightmare for your privacy and your wallet. After we checked out, they took it upon themselves to charge our credit card without permission for a breakfast we never even had. Instead of fixing their mistake, the owner doubled down.
The most disturbing part: In their response to my bank, they openly admitted to using hidden cameras in the breakfast room to spy on guests' consumption. Not only is this a creepy invasion of privacy, but it’s also illegal under Belgian law as there were no signs or warnings about being filmed.
Using security cameras - which should be for safety - just to "prove" someone had a coffee is completely disproportionate and shady.
The respective authorities have been informed. They have no signed receipts, just illegal footage of God knows who. Save yourself such stress: book somewhere else where they don’t help themselves from your account or film you without your knowledge.

Great Place to stay!

We had a nice stay at Hotel Monika, very friendly personnel, good breakfast. The hotel is located near the bus stop which was great for me, as I am not driving. We absolutely going to stay at Monika again.

Excellent base to explore the area by bike.

Ideal hotel to explore the area, especially for a small cycling holiday. Very warm and friendly welcome by the managers. Nice and rich breakfast. Great restaurant. Rooms (and bathroom) on the small side. Old-fashioned decor, but very clean and hygienic. Bicycle parking with possibility of charging electric bikes - a must in this place. Very correct value for money. Definitely recommended!
