Great Belizean hotel

Great resort. Comfy beds, great food, friendly service, beautiful views. Just watch yourself on the beach, you can get yourself cut if your not careful

A Warm Welcome and Relaxing Stay in Placencia

My stay at Umaya Resort in Placencia was a wonderful experience from the moment I arrived. The welcome drink was a nice touch and made me feel instantly relaxed and ready to enjoy my vacation.
The staff were warm, friendly, and always greeted us with a smile. Their hospitality made us feel welcome throughout our stay, and they were happy to assist whenever we needed anything. The rooms were nice and spacious. My family had 2 bedroom beachfront room on the 2nd floor. It was so nice to sit back and listen to water. They had everything we needed. A full kitchen if needed but we opted explored the town for dinner. There are two onsite restaurants, 1 beach side and 1 lagoon side. I did enjoy ordering room service for breakfast.
The resort itself is peaceful, beautiful, and a great place to unwind while enjoying everything Placencia has to offer. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with excellent customer service and a welcoming atmosphere, I would definitely recommend Umaya Resort.

Nice stay near Placencia

The hotel was lovely. Our five person family stayed in one of the very nice villas, 3 bedrooms with full kitchen, right on the beach. The pools were great. The pool bar and restaurant were intermittently staffed, but the main restaurant was always open. The hotel restaurant food was good. The hotel was far from town, but they offered two free shuttles to Placencia in morning and early afternoon. They also have bikes and kayaks you can use for free.
The hotel is a little isolated and placencia was very quiet.

You can choose an ocean view for more waves and boats passing and amazing custom pizza choices, and pools with a pool-side bar, or you can choose a laguna view for more calm and greater peace and more variety at the restaurant on that side. Well shaded, well lighted, still much privacy and grassy sunshine and flowers. What a beautiful place!
