Wasn’t terrible but wouldn’t return
Terrific:
- Location is awesome, close to plenty of on-street and on-beach restaurants and two ice-cream shops, souvenir shops, and grocery stores
- Room (we had the two-bedroom) was super clean and kitchen was well-stocked with coffee-maker, refrigerator, and dishware for our family of 4 (two adults and two kids aged 8 and 6). It was also very spacious and there were three balconies.
- Gated parking is available, and I felt totally safe leaving our car here.
Terrible:
- They didn’t notify us the water and power would be off one morning. Apparently the entire peninsula was aware for weeks they would be shut off for maintenance but the hotel didn’t share that info with us or help prepare us. So we woke up to no AC, no running water, a refrigerator with food, and no flushing toilets. Obviously there’s nothing the hotel could do about the shut-offs but some water to flush the toilets, ice to keep food cold, and advance notice would have been helpful. And we could’ve also planned an excursion to allow us to be away from the hotel at that time.
- One morning, the heavy curtain valance in the living room fell off the wall and onto our 6-year old. Even I could tell it hadn’t been bolted into the wall and was just resting on top of the brackets.
- Before we arrived, the resort charged us a few hundred dollars even though we had opted to pay at the time of check-in. This wasn’t an Expedia charge - it was directly from the hotel. It was hard to find the office to refund the charge, but eventually they did without offering any explanation as to why.

Enjoyed our Stay at Brisa Oceana!
The staff was really outstanding, from the very nice ladies who checked us in, to the attentive maintenance staff who showed up immeidately to resolve any issues.
The only tip I have is every unit is so close to the beach that you really don't need to rent "ocean front"...they are all pretty much ocean front.
It's location is perfect. Less than a 5 minute walk to the village, passing many bars and restaurants along the way.
We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at Sterlings, which is on site. All meals were great.
We would definitely stay here again!
