Stay in La Paz
Excellent location and service, close to two cable car stations. Attentive and welcoming staff, simple but clean and well-groomed environment, the elevator leads to floors with exit through reception with access to the street, and another to the restaurant (excellent) access through a gallery, to the Avenue that leads to the central square . We had a problem with the shower on one of the nights, the water didn't heat up, but we just had to notify reception and they resolved it within ten minutes. Our arrival and departure were early in the morning, due to the flight time, and the hotel allowed us to stay in the room without any problems (overtime) with check-in or check-out.

really 3* ?
This hotel is a 70's oldy in a regular condition. So... rooms, service and amnieties are just ok for the price. But during our stay, getting hot water for showering was random and when get some, it was barely hot. Sounds like 3 starts are overrated there....

Ok for 1-2 night stay, no more than that!
While its location is centric, the overall look of it is not the greatest!
Outdated basic rooms for a night maybe 2.
Breakfast menu is very limited and many of the items do not looked fresh at all!
Nearby streets looked quite scary, specially at night, there is sense of not being secure... just my impression as if someone is going to jump out of nowhere...
I had a 2 night stay before going to Uyuni and at the end of it, when checking out, the front desk staff was asking in an accusatory tone if I had eaten something from the minibar, which I hadn’t, but they insisted as if I was not telling the truth, the the front desk person went about the amount of towels and the it was “very strange” they left only one when it should have been 3! Once again this was done in a accusatory tone that made me think on offering to open my bags so they could check in wasn’t stealing them!
Although I had a reservation for an additional 2 nights, upon returning from Uyuni, I decided to cancel, even losing money from doing it and find a “better” accommodation! I just didn’t feel comfortable being accused like that and no one to rely on for support!
Bad experience overall!

Panamerican hotel subpar.
Great location, very close to center. Close(2.5 blocks) to Telerifiko, purple line. Somewhat noisy street. The police station is only a block away and the whole city can't help but be noisy. Friendly staff with very limited English abilities.
Fairly clean. Definitely drab and severely outdated, in desperate need of a renovation.
Bed was ok, linens clean, shower warm and WiFi just ok. Breakfast was good, I had to ask for a topping for the many types of bread besides jam and fried sausage, I got some cheese but no ham or any kind of sliced sandwich meat but maybe that's just me.
Restaurant in the basement was ok, nothing special. La Paz doesn't have much of a night life for the uninitiated, so it maybe your best option after dark.
Definitely for the budget conscious, no frills, no fear traveler.

Pictures are Not Always worth 1000 words :(
This hotel has much better pictures than it actually is.
Check in. The front desk informed me that may reservation was not in his list and the hotel was full.
After I opened my PC and showed the Reservation Number suddenly a room was available.
This Room is nothing to brag about the rugs are old and stained. The bathroom has a bad odor. And there is no heating system.
The covers are heavy and yet the bed is comfortable.
Noise level is loud but manageable with the appropriate ear plugs.
Breakfast was Poor.
Wifi Once connected with a code for each device was OK.
MUST concerning is the safety of this place.
Any one from the street has access to the elevator Via P1, The Front Desk in on P2 there is a person there but no one at P1. In addition, the doors of each room in the hotel are closet doors with a knob and key. Anyone can easily kick a door open. NOT A COFORTABLE FEELING.
The Icing on this cake was when I finally reached home noticed that my spare cash was missing. I called the hotel and also wrote an e-mail. The answer to me that no money was left behind and their staff has been with them over 10 years.
Personally I will never stay in this hotel.
