A place we always love coming back to
We have been visiting Phazama Farm in Tsutsubega regularly. It is a peaceful place located about half an hour’s drive from Maun, set in beautiful natural surroundings at the edge of the Okavango Delta – remote enough to feel peaceful, yet easily accessible.
What really makes this place special are the owners – Katja and Peter – warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring. They can also assist with arranging activities such as a mokoro trip or a helicopter flight over the delta.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic experience away from the town of Maun and close to nature.

Place to immerse in African nature, relax and privacy
What a surprise to have our best indoor accommodation experience after a month travelling around Botswana in our last two days when we were simply waiting for our PCR-test results and resting before a long way home! This place does not actually fit the term farm from our point of view. This is a grassy property with a nice forested area where there are three cabins for guests and the owners' house. Everything is located in a way that you feel full privacy. Our cabin/chalet called Mia had a fantastic view over a pan that has water after rains but during our stay, it was just a nice vast grassland. The cabin itself is under the trees and a large part of the walls are made of mosquito nets. As a result, even in the heat of the day, it was less hot in the cabin than in any other indoor accommodation in Botswana we stayed. The cabin had a little terrace and also an outdoor table with a bench, so we always had our meals outside. From the cabin, we took lovely walks along the path connecting all three cabins. There are plenty of birds around and at night we saw a bushbaby using a torch. Also, we saw a duiker in the morning right by one of the cabins. At night we slept as babies enjoying the sound of crickets and other night creatures. Well, this place is not for a focused game viewing but here you have a rare opportunity to walk instead of driving and enjoy the African nature in a very relaxed way. As there is everything in the cabin including the gas stove and fridge you can live there fully independently. This gives you a feeling that you actually LIVE in Botswana and not just travelling. This place was a great romantic experience for us as a couple but I imagine coming with kids would be very nice and convenient. Actually, at Phazama you get an unbeatable combination of remoteness and comfort. This is a great place to start the journey through the country and rest after long flights from home or to have some time to relax already after the incredible but tiring time of game watching.

pleine nature et tout confort, le top !
vous aimez la nature et le calme, pas d'hésitation ! Superbe expérience en famille chez Katja et Peter ! il faut quitter Maun et s'enfoncer en 4x4 vers le delta pour découvrir ce très bel endroit. Tout le confort que l'on peut attendre (et même plus !) au milieu de la nature. Magnifique logement, superbes vues, rapport qualité prix excellent. Pas de restauration sur place mais ce n'est pas un problème, il faut juste le prévoir et vos hôtes vous alertent bien sur ce point. prévoir quelques jours pour bien profiter. Merci au voisin Adrian qui peut vous organiser des game ou sorties mokoro, ça vaut le coup ! beaux souvenirs, merci à tous
