A relaxed hotel

We stayed here as part of our G Adventures trip. It's a small but cosy hotel. It suits this island perfectly! It has a relaxed vibe and the staff are very friendly. It's in the heart of the town so close to everything possibly needed and wanted. Breakfast was good, the fresh fruit in particular was delicious.

Good enough

Fairly comfortable bed, no mosquitoes to speak of, fan in room and great shower pressure. Well located on this beautiful island.
But facilities were really basic and it was quite cold when we visited, but there was no blanket. Breakfast is expensive at 25reals.
Other than the porch, there was nowhere else to really hang out as a group. But the people-watching from said porch is very good :-)

Did the job!

Stayed here as part of my Gadventures tour. I was in room 16. The pousada is nice enough, close to most places. We paid for the porters to take our bags from the port to the pousada, this works out only about £2 return so we were encouraged to support the local people to use it.
Beer from reception pretty cheap at Rs 5, although the pousada is also opposite a supermarket to get any bits you need. I didn’t sleep very well the first night although that was probably nerves as we had to get up again at 2am to so the Pica do Papagaio hike!
I few people mentioned problems with mosquitos in their rooms but we weren’t too badly affected. We missed breakfast the first morning but it was good the second morning with; delicious mango, yogurt, oats, and you could request eggs from the kitchen – I didn’t like the coffee much though.

Good spot

Stayed for a couple of nights on a GAdventures trip. There was no extra charge for AC as we had been told. Room was basic but very clean. Large double bed, fridge, TV, ceiling fan as well as AC. Breakfast was fine, lots of fresh fruit with the usual buffet food. Room serviced on leaving key at reception. Good shower in bathroom. WiFi worked very well in room. Good location.
