Wonderful!

We loved our stay at Hotel Arete!! Mr. José serving the restaurant was the highlight. It helped me a lot to reconcile what I could eat considering that I have a food allergy. Chef Marcelo left the dish beautiful and delicious even though the items requested were simple. Gustavo from the reception was super important for clarifying all our doubts about the region!

Disappointment with the beach annex

I frequent the Arete for years, and I am always very well received by everyone at the hotel, with extreme attention, sympathy and cordiality. The Arete is my refuge, whenever I need to escape from the stress of Carioca.
One of the main reasons that lead me there, is to be able to spend the days in the annexes, without even stepping foot in the city.
Unfortunately on my last stay, I was disappointed with the beach annex. When I arrived, I occupied a tent that was unoccupied, and without any notice of reservation; there was no employee to guide.
After installed, an employee arrived, a little exalted, saying that we could not stay there, because that lounge was reserved. I said I didn't have a reserve board, and nobody had warned anything, as it usually happens, every time I've been there before. But he just repeated that I had to clear the place.
I picked up my things, and as another tent wandered on the other side, I asked that same employee if I could stay there; he said there would be no problem.
After installing me, another employee came, I believe that manager, saying that I couldn't stay, because there was a queue.
It is embarrassing to go through such a situation. As I said, for years I frequent the Arete, mainly for the option of annexes, offered by the hotel itself.
I wonder if now I will have to find other places to stay...
