Mr. Oleh Boyko

A very nice clean hotel with very friendly staff. Recommend a visit to anyone staying in Bauru. It is close to downtown and many amenities- supermarkets, restaurants, cafe's, pharmacies and all necessities.

Ancient abandoned

The facilities are very old but we already knew that. The absolute surprise was to request room service from the restaurant and to be informed that there was no bread to make snacks, no potatoes to make the fries and no soft drinks, I found until I had turned on the wrong branch. Obviously the desire was to leave, but even tired we went to the trust market next door to buy food and be able to rest.
If you need to eat or stay again you will not be in this hotel.

Reasonably good, but could be better...

I stayed at this hotel twice in September 2023 on work trips, as the public foundation where I work as a temporary employee tends to book it frequently to carry out face-to-face training for field research. In the 2 rooms I stayed in (508 on the 5th floor and 811 on the 8th floor), the air conditioning didn't work well, the beds creaked and weren't very comfortable, the TV had few pay channels, the Wi-Fi There was a weak signal and the sockets were still the old standard, which meant I had to ask for a socket adapter at reception to charge my laptop. Room cleaning is done daily, but there is no fixed time, it can be early in the morning or early afternoon. The elevators made noise and the main one was closed for maintenance for 2 days, which made me use the service one, in even worse conditions.
The hotel restaurant, in turn, is good and offers a good variety of food and drinks for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Apparently, there used to be an American Bar at the back of the dining room, but the bottles of drinks kept in the glass cabinets were more for decoration than to be served to guests. The atmosphere is airy and waiters are quick to remove dirty plates and cutlery and clean tables so new guests can sit down and eat. Next door, there is a mini gym, but with equipment so old that it was not safe to use them.
The Convention Center auditorium is large and has comfortable chairs for those who want to work there. The attached rooms are organized into large tables that fit 3 chairs each, but the image projectors are old and the projected images take a while to become clear on the screen. The chairs are simple, but upholstered, which guarantees minimal comfort for those who sit for hours. The coffee break is basic with 2 savory options, 2 sweet options and 2 types of juices, but sufficient for what is proposed.
In the entrance hall, there are pool tables, ping pong and foosball for those who like to play and sofas for those who want to gather people to chat. The service, in general, is good and friendly, but there is not much concern on the part of the attendants to check the entry of people not staying at the hotel invited by guests. All in all, it's a reasonably good hotel, but it could be better...

Obeid Plaza served the purposes for our stay. Our room was clean and the air conditioner worked great. The wifi was spotty and the common areas were rather rundown. We were hoping to use the pool, only to find it was being repaired.
