Nice relaxing getaway immersed in nature

This was a charming little hotel. A nice little escape from reality. Each morning we got up and enjoyed the wonderful breakfast. The breakfast included all kinds of breads, eggs and sausages. We were greeted by all kinds of wildlife, including colorful birds and agouti.
There are beautiful fruit trees and plenty of hammocks for a nice relaxing afternoon. The rooms are little cottages which include air conditioning and hot water for shower.
We really enjoyed our stay

Hostel with a lot of potential but in need of a good renovation.

We spent 5 nights in the guesthouse Olho d’Agua. The place is beautiful with cutia, araras and various birds to see. The people who work in the hostel were very attentive always solving any problem without complaining. However, the guesthouse is well fallen! We had to change room on arrival because the bathroom closet was falling to pieces and everything was well moffed. The pool with broken tiles left to be desired.
The new hostess said she took the key this week and promised that she would invest money in repairing the rooms and bathrooms. Let's see...
The place has a lot of potential.

Lack of maintenance and discouragement with guests

Unfortunately, our experience at Pousada Olho d’Agua was extremely disappointing.
We checked in and found the room dirty. The heater did not work and we took a cold bath during the stay, even after we warned the management and requested the repair. The problem was simply not resolved and we took a cold bath, which I find unacceptable.
The infrastructure of the guesthouse is visibly in need of maintenance, with moffed bathrooms, broken equipment and worn-out facilities. The care team appears to be poorly trained, unprepared and, at various times, was unhealthy to say rude. Dirty tables on the balcony and garbage in the garden throughout the stay. The food also left much to be desired, with quality much lower than expected.
The place has potential, but today it conveys a feeling of complete abandonment and lack of care with the guests. For the value charged and the reputation that the hostel seems to have, the experience was far below expectations.
Our recommendation is: look for another accommodation. Beautiful deserves a much better experience than this

Not top

The location is beautiful. But there are some flaws. It was very cold when we arrived. The rooms very cold, The air conditioning did not heat at the room of our friends. We 1 time no hot water. Breakfast was with the warm coat on. The room was not heated. No more tea, no more jam. If only they'd put lemongrass in the water. Not everyone likes this, of course.
It was exceptionally cold weather but they must be prepared for that.
Staff were friendly but speak no English. 1 someone does. The rooms were very clean.

Clean and perfect rooms

Beautiful guesthouse and very cozy. Perfect rooms and very clean! The only point is that there is no indoor restaurant infrastructure for lunch and dinner, only mancha coffee.
