Good cost-benefit

The hotel is very nice, the location is excellent and the staff very helpful and cordial. Breakfast is good and left nothing to be desired.
The only points to be improved are the shower, which does not always heat well and the WiFi signal, which was very unstable and sometimes impossible to use.

Avoid room 3!

We have only spent one night in this hotel, so maybe we simply did not have enough time to enjoy the many good things this hotel has to offer that other reviewers liked so much; however, the room we were given was possibly the smallest hotel room I have ever been to (even compared to old Parisian left bank hotels). There was not even sufficient floor space to open a suitcase. All else was OK - the room was clean, the staff was pleasant, and breakfast was good.

Just awesome!

It's just the most authentic place you could find in Joao Pessoa. It really puts you into the local culture, which is just so rich and beautiful. Besides, it sure is a place where you get to know a little bit of the local contemporary art. Great location and the coolest staff!

Fantastic small design hotel

xilo is a unique and extraordinary small hotel in Joao Pessoa; the owners / managers run this family place with a lot of care and love to details. Everything is very nice: from decoration, rooms, service to the outstanding breakfast.

Fugindo do padrão turistão

Venho a trabalho uma vez por mês a João Pessoa e já experimentei vários hotéis dentro de uma faixa média de preço. Confesso que todos ficam no mesmo padrão comercial. Que bom que desta vez, por falta de programação, descobri o Xilo! Decoração moderna e alegre, ambiente iluminado, quarto amplo e espaçoso, equipe super atenciosa, café da manhã feito de acordo com o que você gosta, por exemplo, comentei que a tapioca era grande então as meninas fizeram uma pequena pra que eu pudesse comer ovos também, Wi-Fi funcionando e bem próximo à praia de Cabo Branco. Pra mim funcionou perfeitamente bem. Pretendo fazer de lá minha base em Jampa.
Vale alertar que o acesso ao andar superior é por escadas, o que pode ser um ponto negativo para pessoas idosas ou com necessidades especiais. Não vi outros acessos. Pode ser que tenha.
