Second time, 9 year interval. Excellent!
I was in 2016, just with my then boyfriend, we loved. We are back now, married and with a 4-year-old daughter, we love again.
The guesthouse doesn't accept kids on weekends and I think it's fair. We went from Ash Wednesday to Friday, we were alone in the hotel, it was wonderful! We three enjoy all the pools, all the meals and the quiet of our room, the hotel is beautiful in the details, full of food, in sympathy and well located. I feel welcome and at the same time very free, because we only had three of us, my daughter can make the jokes and speak out loud without stressing with it. (Weekend I agree not to have the little ones)
I will be back and this time nothing to make such a long break!

Perfect for complete relaxation
Second time we stayed here. The inn has a very cool structure, with several pools of different sizes and temperatures. It has a deck with wonderful views of the sunset. The breakfast is incredible, and they serve afternoon coffee too, super delicious.
The service is very polite all the time.
The guesthouse is close to the center of Lavras Novas, so you can easily walk for a walk.
The restaurant is also very tasty, so if your intention is to immerse yourself in a relaxing weekend, without worrying about anything, you don't even need to leave here.

Exceptional guesthouse
Exceptional guesthouse, very attentive staff, stunning landscape, several swimming pools, fireplace in the rooms and delicious breakfast. The inn's restaurant offers a wide wine list and a varied menu. Perfect stay.

PERFECT INN !!!!!
To begin with, I chose this guesthouse through a YouTube video about Lavras Novas and OF COURSE I came here on Tripadvisor beforehand to confirm. Wonderful !!!! It's an experience in itself, we went from 03/05 to 05/05/2024. The hostel is very close to the entrance to the city, I thought the location was great, it is right before you get to the buzzing bars, which has a small hill to climb, nothing special, but people with reduced mobility may have difficulty, so they would have to go by car to the bars, it's far from the little church, but as I like to walk and it's a city for that, I didn't see a problem with the distance (because by car you don't appreciate the charm of the place). We stayed in room 15 (no air, no fireplace, no need at all) large, airy, super comfortable bed, 4 pillows with blankets, ideal size bathroom, warm shower. The room is rustic in style (in fact a very strong point, the whole inn has a delicacy of rustic details like a grandma's house mixed with a charming country house). Everything about the inn impressed us, service 10, cleanliness 1000, a beautiful view of the mountains. There are 4 pools, including the jacuzzi, which is very large and very warm. The outdoor pool is air-conditioned and was delightful both in the morning and in the afternoon (but this weekend it wasn't so cold and it wasn't even windy, we were very lucky in the lovely weather). The heated pool is also perfect with a beautiful view of the mountains (it has glass around it, which is really charming). There is also a waterfall with a wonderful view, but the water is very cold, but just sunbathing on the chairs, watching the landscape and enjoying the waterfall is incredible. The inn offers afternoon coffee from 3pm (I love it) I'm from Minas Gerais....with cakes, cookies, coffee, milk, caputino, whatever you want. And the breakfast is perfect, it even has freshly made tapioca and omelet, fruits, fresh juices, yogurt, cakes, and delicious cheese bread. We even went on a trail on Saturday morning with the inn's guide (free of charge) and it was great. Anyway, it's a guesthouse that I recommend for couples, and it's what we saw most in Lavras Novas and it's what I looked for when I chose the Palavras Novas guesthouse, as we're already past the stage of taking children and we wanted peace and tranquility and that's exactly what we found in this hotel. guesthouse and in this calm and welcoming city.

We loved everything about this guesthouse!!
We loved the experience of hosting at Palavras Novas! Care in every detail, excellent breakfast and afternoon! Comfortable room and a beautiful view! Exceptional service from Douglas, who spared no effort in helping us with everything we needed! We will definitely be back!
