Casa do Pilar is a fantastic choice to experience the hospitality of Minas Gerais.

We booked the family suite and the first floor adjacent double room, facing the street. The family suite is large, the double room had a good size, the view from the rooms was amazing, beds and pillows were very comfortable, cleanliness was impeccable and rooms were silent. The pousada is in the heart of Ouro Preto, walking distance from Nossa Senhora do Pilar, Praca Tiradentes, and several good restaurants for anyone fit to face the slopes of Ouro Preto. If you have difficulties to walk, it is easy to get local cabs (roads in Ouro Preto are narrow, it is not easy to find parking places in town, so a tip is exploring the town on foot and local cabs, and leave cars parked). Bernardo and Geninha are ambassadors of Minas Gerais hospitality, they were ready to make all our wishes come true, and the cakes and breads of Geninha for breakfast gained a special place in our travel memories! For anyone searching a genuine experience in Ouro Preto, Casa do Pilar is the place. We will certainly come back!

Feeling at home in Black Gold

My experience at Pousada Casa do Pilar was excellent. The guesthouse is very cozy, extremely clean and very well taken care of. The location is great, allowing you to easily get to the main sights of Ouro Preto on foot. I would like to express a special thanks to host Bernardo, his wife Larissa and dear D. Geninha, who received us with a lot of sympathy, attention and hospitality, making us feel at home throughout the stay. Breakfast is delicious, with great variety and quality products. I recommend the Pousada Casa do Pilar to all who seek comfort, tranquility and a truly welcoming service. I will definitely be back when you are back in Black Gold!

Sensational

Sensational Inn with great service. Bernardo received us very well. It's worth it!!! Wonderful breakfast!! Location very close to the main attractions of the city. If you want an Inn with the feeling of being at home, the house of Pilar is your destination.

Exceptional! The best service!!!

The days we spent in Ouro Preto were incredible, the Pousada is charming, the breakfast was great, delicious cakes, warm cheese bread and other delicacies, welcoming atmosphere, well located, super comfortable bed and bedding, great shower. But the main and differentiating factor is hospitality. Bernardo is incredibly friendly, he welcomes us as if we were friends or relatives, he makes us feel at home. He gave wonderful tips on tours, restaurants and cafes. Super attentive, just like Geninha and Jaqueline who are lovely.
I recommend a thousand times that you visit Ouro Preto at this Pousada, which is the essence of this beautiful, picturesque city and offers some of the best service I've ever had on my trips.

Excelente atendimento e ótima localização

Fiquei na Pousada Casa do Pilar para participar de uma conferência na UFOP. Bernanrdo e Geninha foram muito atenciosos e me atenderam muito bem (delicioso café da manhã). A localização é muito boa pois é muito próxima ao centro de convenções da UFOP e não tão longe da praça central. Os quartos são confortáveis, com decoração "rústica".
