Great experience but lacked sensitivity at a difficult time

I stayed at Pousada Cantinho da Praia from 28 to 31/07/2026 and, overall, I had an excellent experience. The guesthouse is very cozy, walking in the sand, with a practically private beach, sensational breakfast and still a nice snack in the late afternoon. The location is great for those looking for tranquility, and Dona Vera, from the reception, deserves a special praise for sympathy and attention.
The only point that I consider suitable for reflection was the conduct of the lack of energy caused by the strong wave that hit the region. I understand perfectly that the guesthouse was not to blame for what happened and was also a victim of the situation. However, I felt a lack of a more focused attitude to the charm and fidelity of the guests, with some gesture of courtesy or compensation for the disturbance suffered.
Still, my review is quite positive and I recommend the guesthouse. I make this observation only as a constructive criticism so that the experience can be even better in the future.

Amazing

A clean and cozy place. All polite staff and hostess Vera a love of Cover. Wonderful coffee, amazing view, good kiosk food, afternoon coffee a mim. All impeccable. I recommend!

Peace and tranquility

Oh exceptional place beautiful place, clean well cared staff are excellent place of peace and happiness. In front of the beach good to rest listening to that noise of mom. Good breakfast. It is a place q concerteza will return very good location.

Wonderful experience!

The guesthouse is wonderful! Starting with the reception, where we were very well received and welcomed. Highlight for the staff who are kind and helpful. The room very clean as well as the whole guesthouse. Comfortable bed, nice bedding and the shower very good. Varied breakfast and still has a snack in the afternoon (afternoon tea). Perfect place to rest and escape from badalation. The guesthouse is on foot in the sand and has a quiosque that serves very well (sensational Mauritius). I was with my autistic son and my parents who are very old, I picked a finger where we would go and hit it in full. Happy choice!!! The sea is calm, excellent for the child. The view from the guesthouse to the beach has no comments, only coming to live and feel this unique and pleasant experience. In short, it's a paradise hidden literally in the corner of the beach. Thank you all for the receptivity (Vera, Jennifer, Arlene, Diego) and everyone else too. I will definitely be back.

I have read the reviews and, in my opinion, do not match the reality. The facilities are good but the location is pretty bad, there is nothing cool nearby. Also my room was on the side of a work with noise all day long. Next to the Inn there was stalled water.
