Old hotel bad mattress

Old decadent hotel, old locks, bad beds, thermal leeches that don't work.
Our room was a family room the double bed was horrible, old mattress where we practically fell out of bed, there was a particular incident and we had to go back to our city and our daily that was to be 2 ended up being one more 3 hours. Even so we were charged the value of two days. When we went to pick up our bags in the room it hadn't even been arranged.
The morning Cafe is extremely weak and the garages for the cars are charged apart.

Dishonest administration

Hotel canceled our booking made 1 month ago, on the day of the stay, claiming invalid credit card and requesting payment through pix. In a hurry, we were able to book another hotel in the city, more expensive, with the same credit card.

Classic hotel and good for overnight stay

Hotel undergoing renovations, good option to stay overnight.
The hall on the way to breakfast has pictures with the celebrities who already stayed at the hotel.
The fridge in the room was noisy, unplugged for sleeping.
Very attentive and friendly at the reception, point to highlight.

We enjoyed our stay and were pleasantly surprised for what we got, for the price. Our rooms were comfortable and very clean. The breakfast exceeded our expectations- a wide range of choices. If solely an anglophone it might be a bit confusing at check in (but this would not be unusual, as English is rarely spoken outside of main tourist areas). The staff were pleasant and helpful. We would stay there again if in the area.
