A gem of a hotel in an unlikely setting

The Dourada Parque Hotel is the only hotel in Pedra Dourada which is a very small town in the south-west of Minas Gerais. The building is moderns and the rooms are clean and comfortable.
Immediately in front of the hotel terrace is a waterfall and swimming pond with public barbeque stoves dotted around. At the weekend the locals come to have their 'churasco' and generally hang out.
To see the waterfall at its most spectacular you will need to visit in summer (November to March)
Hotels of this standard in the small interior towns of Brazil are few and far between.

Recomendo!!

Recomendo o hotel sem dúvidas, lugar muito bom, funcionarios atenciosos, quartos bem equipados e a localização privilegiada! Foram 5 dias muito bons. O charme fica por conta da cachoeira em frente ao hotel e a vista pela sacada dos quartos.

Não vale a pena

O hotel possui boa infra estrutura, porém, falha em muitos detalhes no atendimento.
Os empregados são educados mas se tornam muito engessados pelas regras do hotel.
O café da manhã é pobre para o padrão do hotel, não tendo sequer queijo branco, somente uma opção de suco e poucas opções de bolos e pães, além da demora na reposição.
No quarto apesar de boa cama e bom chuveiro, a TV só tem poucos canais abertos e ainda é quase impossivel assisti-los devido aos ruídos sonoros e imperfeições da imagem, sendo que a própria funcionária já disse ter relatado aos proprietários que não tomaram medidas.

Caminhada da luz

Excelente hotel. Recepção maravilhosa. Excelente jantar e café da manhã. Todos muito atenciosos. Lazer excelente com sauna, piscina e salão de jogos. Apartamentos excelente, limpos e arejados. Localizado em um parque lindo e muito bem cuidado.

Queria ter ficado mais...

Estive no hotel por uma noite, como estava a trabalho não tive como estender minha hospedagem. Os quartos são bons, limpos e espaçosos. O chuveiro também é bom. Gostei do café da manhã. O hotel não tem academia, mas tem parceria com uma academia da cidade. Queria ter aproveitado da infraestrutura do hotel, usar a piscina e lago natural. Se tiver outra oportunidade vou tentar ficar mais tempo.
