Amazing Environment

The hotel is truly stunning, wonderful house and the view of the mountains is unmatched. Very friendly service. Restaurant at dinner is very good. Negatives are the breakfast, which would be satisfactory for a lower-level hotel and the bed. But those points, to me, would not justify removing a star. If I could, I'd rate it as 4.5.

Disappointing

We stayed from Saturday to Monday at Casa Marambaia and we do not recommend going for those who expect impeccable service. The value is extremely expensive for what deliver in terms of service. Besides the room and the bed being small, lack of staff training, example: I ordered an Aperol Spritz and they gave me a Tonic Gin. When I warned that I was wrong, the waiter kept repeating that he was right and didn't want to make the exchange. Also, there was no one to welcome us when we arrived in the lobby, which was weird, to come without seeing anyone. Finally, this was the weekend of my birthday, we planned in advance and notified the hotel about the reason for our trip. I was hoping that a hotel like this could offer some mim or courtesy for the birthday, but it went unnoticed for all staff.

Excellent experience

Just wonderful. If you are looking for a few days of peace and connection with nature, this is the place. From our entrance to the exit, we were very well received. The room is wonderful, the bed big and very comfortable. The bathroom is big and super clean. All very smelly. The view from the room was stunning. We stayed in the rooms in the central house. There are many trails to do; I always recommend communicating them so they can observe the time they left and send someone to see if everything is okay.
Whether you enjoy tennis, beach tennis or pickleball, the fields are excellent and surrounded by nature.

Stay away from the restaurant

We are frequent guests of the hotel and we went to spend Tiradentes holiday with the family. We went to lunch at the hotel restaurant, which according to the property itself and the maximum point of the stay, when the chef refused to serve us lunch, claiming without evidence, that it had passed 5 min of closing time. I tried to argue that it was a family hotel and that I was with kids that the restaurant was completely empty, he said I should look at the social networks to know the opening hours. I got very upset, asked to call the manager and he refused, calling a security to threaten me and telling me to leave if he wanted to. My family was traumatized by the attitude of the hotel chef and we had to leave before, fearing for our physical integrity. There was no hotel staff at the time to intervene. Some time later I was able to talk to 2 employees Caio and Alessandra who were open-minded about the cook's attitude, asking for millions of apologies and saying that we would be refunded for the stay. Unfortunately a place as beautiful as the Marambaia does not deserve to have a chef who lacks respect for the guests. A shame.

An unforgettable experience.

Fabulous hotel, in the middle of an Atlantic Forrest, with an amazing setting and a carefully manicured landscape.
We stayed at a great loft, with an indoor Jacuzzi and a varanda facing the river.
Very cozy, comfortable and spotless room.
The staff was very friendly and professional.
Two good restaurants at the premises.
Only one "hickup": Breakfast could be better. You are entitled to only one hot dish.
So if you order scrambled eggs, you have to pay extra if you want pancakes or anything else.
Kind of stingy for a 5 star and expensive hotel.
Besides that, it's a wonderful experience.
