American Review

Came here as an American who knew no Portuguese, and no experience with Latin America at all and have nothing bad to say about this place. The staff was very sweet and friendly. The owner was extremely accommodating and very social. I felt at home and the place was clean. It was a bit hard to find, taking into consideration I did not speak the language. The breakfast was adorable, the pool was consistently cleaned. Great place and would recommend anyone who wants to "experience Brasil". WiFi was free!

ULYSSES!!!

The owner MADE our trip. It's a small quaint hotel with a very cute pool area and small area with tables to eat breakfast or just hang around. The hotel owner made us feel quite at home! He constantly checked on us, offered us snacks and fresh juices, even offering us some drinks at night time! He's so much fun. I only speak Spanish and English and he only speaks Portuguese but we could communicate with our vibes and common Latin roots. He also offered to drive us around where we needed to go when we wanted to go to the waterfalls, picking us up as well. He definitely did a lot to make us feel accommodated!

Americans' Stay at the Pousada Estrela Matutina

I traveled to Pirenopolis with 8 other Americans and have absolutely no complaints. Our stay at the Pousada Estrela Matutina was wonderful. All of the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating; they even offered us rides to and from the bus station and to the many waterfalls surrounding the city. Only one of us spoke Portuguese but we felt right at home. Would 10/10 recommend.

a nice simple place with a good relaxing atmosphere.

We stayed here one night.
Most rooms in the place are ground flower (cabin like)
But we were 4 people and got two rooms in sort of an apartment (2 bedrooms each with a key, and a shared toilet only for these rooms, and a very nice balcony with hammocks).
We paid 300 reais in total.
The place is very clean, with a good atmosphere.
One room had AC, and the other only had a fan.
The view from the room window was great.
Breakfast was very nice and the pool was simple and sufficient.
In summary a nice simple place with a good relaxing atmosphere.
We spoke Portuguese, so can't comment on how English friendly it is.

Uma delícia o café da manhã ! Mas o banheiro estava com o box estragado, deixava a gente preso, precisava da ajuda de outro para abrir. E também muitos fios e tomadas soltas em cima da cama.
