The guest house is very cozy, structure very well cared for, great bed linen, varied and very tasty breakfast, bathroom with shower very good, extremely kind and attentive staff. There's parking. It is about 15 min walk from the main square.

Tradition. Hospitalidade. History.

New hostel. Comfortable facilities. Very quiet and welcoming environment. The exhibition of old furniture, utensils and photographs in the hallways is worth a visit to the museum. The best thing is that each object or photograph is accompanied by a small explanatory text. A real history lesson. Gastronomia raiz. Historic rescue. Tradition. Hospitalidade. This is the Serro do Frio. This is Minas Gerais.

Excellent hostel!

Overall it is an excellent accommodation option. The guesthouse is new and well airy. It is decorated with old and informative furniture and paintings. The rooms are comfortable, bed and bath good. The breakfast is excellent, with quality food and a caprichous presentation, with cheese bread and delicious cakes!
The guest house has closed parking, but it is located on the side of the road, at the entrance of the city and you will need to drive or walk with willingness to get to the center. The service is professional, friendly and attentive!

Our assessment:
Being at Pousada Vale do Queijo is like being greeted by an old friend at a long-awaited reunion. As soon as we arrived, the cosy aroma of cinnamon cake took care of the environment and our hearts. My husband commented on the smell, and with the kindness that seems to be a registered mark of the place, the receptionist offered us a hot cake accompanied by a tasty coffee. There, in that simple and affectionate gesture, we realize that this is the essence of the hostel: to welcome with soul.
It is a place of beauty and care, not only in the details of the decor — all clean, cozy and charming — but also in the way to treat each guest. We took our kitten Lola, who needs special care, and she was received with so much affection that we were excited. We feel that there, even animals are treated with love and respect.
Breakfast is a separate chapter: filled, capricious and served with sincere smiles. But what really makes Pousada Vale do Queijo unforgettable are the people. From the hostess to the girls in the reception and the kitchen, they all have a glossy look and a sweet way of taking care of people. One of the most beautiful moments we witnessed was seeing the hostess having breakfast every day at the same table as her employees — a simple but rare and powerful gesture. It shows the heart of this place.
Without a doubt, it is the best hostel in the Serro. More than a lodging, it is an experience of affection. We will take you with us, in memory and in heart. Eternal gratitude for making us feel at home.
