Muito bom

Hotel muito bom. Ficamos no quarto 31. Cama boa, chuveiro bom. Café da manhã bom. Piscina e patio agradáveis. Limpeza e organização muito boas. Destaque para as moças que servem o café e arrumam os quartos.

simple but comfortable

I stayed in the first floor, room 23, somewhat noisy because it´s in the main street of the center. The owner acts as guide and has beautiful photos of birds,which were taken by himself. He knows all the region, for he has lived there for the past twenty years .He has a land rover and took us to a ride in the lagoa do peixe, which was a great adventure. Air conditioning was useful, because it was somewhat cold and it heated the small room. Free wifi. Breakfast was not bad.

Nice people at convenient location

The Hotel have very nice people and is at a very convenient location for ecotourism and outdoor activities in Rio Grande do Sul. I stay in the upper room (#31) with balcony, view of tge city and air conditioner (it is winter and cold May-November) At few miles, from november to may you can access both the "Lagôa dos Patos" (Duck's Lake) and the "Parque Nacional da Lagôa do Peixe" (National Park of The Fish's Lake). Also you can access the beautiful preserved beaches and lighthouse.

Excellent for nature travellers

I stayed in this comfortable little hotel while visiting the Lagoa do Peixe bird sanctuary in Rio Grande do Sul. As Lagoa do Peixe is some distance away from larger cities, it was a good stroke of luck to find this hotel, which facilitated a two-day trip to the area.
Especially considering that Tavares is a very small town, the hotel is very good. The staff is friendly, rooms comfortable (including modern air conditioning) and clean. The breakfast was modest, but otherwise the hotel offers great value (I paid R$ 60 for a single room).
In addition to that, the owner has a 4x4 land rover, and you can hire him to take you around the natural part. He knows the area and the locals well, and unless you have your own jeep you won't be able to reach the places he takes you to.
Note that you should be able to speak at least some Portuguese, as the staff doesn't speak English.

Boa opção para hospedagem e passeios pela região

O hotel é simples, mas a equipe toda é bastante acolhedora e simpática. Há quartos no térreo e no primeiro andar que oferecem basicamente as mesmas comodidades sendo alguns um pouco maiores do que outros. O café da manhã é básico, mas com opções de frutas, pães, bolos, frios e geleias além de chá, café e leite. Os passeios oferecidos por João Batista são excelentes. Fazer passeios em 4x4 nessa região tão linda é algo imperdível!
