A truly unforgettable stay at Sugar Mill
Our stay at the Sugar Mill Hotel exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality that made us feel at home.
After a long travel day, Rupert greeted us with a glass of champagne and made sure we were seated for dinner right away—a thoughtful touch that immediately made us feel relaxed and at home. Throughout our stay, the customer service was simply outstanding. Andrea was incredibly helpful in arranging transportation for our day trip to Jost Van Dyke and gave us all the information we needed to have a great day trip.
The staff truly made our stay unforgettable. A special thank you to Shantel for her friendly service at breakfast and lunch, Carlos for making the best Painkiller we had in the BVI, and Marilyn and Jean for taking such wonderful care of us at dinner each evening. Every interaction was warm, genuine, and welcoming.
Our room was spotless, comfortable, and truly felt like a home away from home. The beautiful waterfront views made every morning and evening even more special.
The food was exceptional from start to finish. The conch fritters, lobster Thermidor, and filet mignon were all outstanding, and the soup of the day quickly became something we looked forward to every day.
One of our favorite experiences was the hotel’s catamaran excursion. We spent the day snorkeling, swimming, and relaxing at three beautiful locations, and the lunch served onboard was absolutely delicious. It was the perfect way to experience the beauty of the islands.
What sets Sugar Mill Hotel apart is its genuine hospitality and attention to detail. Every member of the team went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, and it showed in everything they did. We left feeling refreshed, well cared for, and already looking forward to our next visit. We can’t recommend Sugar Mill Hotel highly enough.

Best hotel in BVI!
The best hotel we stayed at in BVI! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were great- comfortable bed, good (hot!) shower. Enjoyed the pools and the onsite restaurants. Would definitely stay there again.

The perfect venue.
We just returned to the states from our destination wedding at Sugar Mill. It was amazing. Andrea and Rupert were so incredibly helpful me made everything simple. The facility and the staff are incredible and treat their guests like family. It is a perfect venue for a beach wedding, and with the help of Andre and Rupert, it was everything we could have asked for and more. The truly go the the extra mile for their guests, from the teen and pre-teen family members to our parents, all loved the resort and had a great vacation. The Sugar Mill is the only resort we would stay at in the BVIs. We can’t wait until our next trip and to see the entire staff again!!!

Outstanding Boutique Hotel- -a must when in Tortola!
We had a fabulous stay at the Sugar Mill Hotel in July 2026. Managers Andrea, Rupert, and staff greeted us warmly and were very attentive and helpful throughout our stay. The grounds were well maintained and beautifully landscaped and the rooms well appointed and comfortable with a view of the sea. Breakfast and lunch were at Tramonte restaurant which is situated on the beach and was quite lovely. Each evening we spent at The Sugar Mill bar and restaurant. It was the highlight of our stay. Unique cocktails, charming West Indie’s atmosphere and the best service from the bartenders and waitstaff. We met many wonderful new friends there. And the food was consistently exceptional! What a treat!
We did a 7 night all inclusive that included 4 nights at hotel and a 3 night stay aboard their charter boat, Sweet Dreams. We couldn’t have had a better time exploring the islands, snorkeling and relaxing on the water. Fiona, captain and chef, curated a great itinerary and hit all our bucket list stops. She was knowledgeable and friendly and the meals she prepared on the boat were outstanding! Lobster, steak, short-ribs, wine, cocktails etc! Delicious!
BJ, the first mate, made us feel right at home and was extremely kind and helpful- a hard worker and a joy to be around with his positive attitude. We enjoyed visiting with them both!
I highly recommend the Sugar Mill Hotel! The all inclusive- with boat charter is a dream package! I hope we can return soon!

Comfortable and relaxing
They accommodated our large family , and the facilities were clean and comfortable. Staff is very friendly , long drive from the airport but very relaxing once we got there
