Beautiful discovery of Bulgaria at a democratic price.

Reservation on Dertour (Germany) for 15 days, all-inclusive, for 2 people: approximately $1,800 departing from Frankfurt.
Hotel in a very wooded area within a private park, very clean, impeccable rooms (sea view) but the reception from the owner was cold and unfriendly (even when speaking German, English, Polish, and Ukrainian).
3 km of fine sandy beach, clean, calm sea. 25-30 degrees, water activities, jet skiing, etc.
Nice pool, easy to get a sunbed, limited entertainment activities but friendly entertainers. Friendly housekeeping staff.
Restaurant: German-oriented, a bit of everything, somewhat repetitive, lots of vegetables, fish, and barbecues.
If you eat outside, beware of seagulls stealing food!!!
Nice bars but branded alcohol is charged extra.
Shuttles for excursions to nearby villages and even beyond...
In short, 15 pleasant days there, with no regrets, worth the price invested (much more expensive with Luxair and other agencies, sometimes double!).
Other shops are quite far away.
Note that the hotel is not 100% accessible for people with reduced mobility.

Nothing like a 4-star hotel

As for the dining, there is a choice even if some foods are repetitive. The students are not at all motivated to clear the tables inside or outside, just like in the various bars. Wiping things down, apparently they don't know how to do that. Oh yes, by going to the bar we are bothering them. A smile is an option. For the other restaurant staff members it is much better, even if we have to deal with a watchdog in the dining room. The hygiene of some is more than questionable. Same t-shirt for 3 days and goes from the barbecue to the hot food station inside. Our room was of a decent size. Only one nightstand, no shelf in the bathroom to put our toiletries. Over 8 days, the bathroom was cleaned 2 times. Let's not even talk about the towels and the glasses... Complaint made to the front desk but no change. The drying rack on the balcony is rusty. Normal? Finally, and to finish, the front desk staff is friendly. The hotel's private beach is nice. We always had lounge chairs and a beach umbrella.

I will not visit Borjana again

The hotel is tastefully renovated. Our room 504 had an ocean view. It was very small, as was the bathroom, which had no shelves. The mattresses were good, cleanliness was also fine. In my eyes, however, not a 4-star hotel. The food was good. I found the staff neutral to disinterested. When my grandson fell ill with a severe stomach flu, I did not get new bed linen at 7 a.m., but was instead told that the cleaning service begins at 8 a.m. The receptionist definitely noticed during the night that we were picked up by an ambulance. In any case, I also had to take care of getting the housekeeper to come. She was apparently not very pleased about the additional task. It was also not possible in the "4-star all-inclusive hotel" to find a banana when my grandson wanted to try to eat something. I have experienced it differently before. In Croatia, rice porridge soup was cooked for us and they regularly asked if we needed anything.

Catastrophic

Big disappointment! July … no entertainment except darts and water aerobics! No evening entertainment, dining service ended at 9:30 PM! Towels for a fee. Elevator with an odor worthy of public restrooms.
A disaster to the point that we asked to change hotels to go to Les Sables d’Or!
I do NOT recommend it AT ALL!

Lack of variety

Unfortunately, I have few positive points to mention about my stay. Meals were repetitive and lacked variety. No natural juices; breakfast was very weak. Lunch and dinner were the same every day. During my stay, for the first two days, the towels and rug were all correct; on the other days, they only left me a face towel. Bed linens were not changed. I know I arrived with an allergy affecting various parts of my body, which caused itching and redness. My only positive point is the reception manager, who was helpfull and very competent.
