Located at the edge of the holiday resort of Bansko, Belvedere Holiday Club is only a few steps from the gondola ski lift. It offers a rich breakfast buffet. An outdoor pool with a children section and a hot tub is available free of charge.

Enjoyable Stay
Returned to Belvedere for the Jazz Festival which was on in Bansko.
Weather was exceptional, so pool area was at its best. It had beautifully clear, clean mountain water which was very refreshing to swim in. Sun loungers, although plentiful ,could do with upgrading to more comfortable alternatives. Lots of umbrellas, very welcome.
Staff were much friendlier than previously and were helpful.
Apartment was clean and basic.
However, the fridge needs updating as it had a broken shelf on inside door so bottles couldn’t be stored upright.
We had lunchtime salads from restaurant, which were good qualify, as was the wine.
Bansko was buzzing and we really enjoyed our stay in Belvedere.

Mediocre - avoid if skiing
We stayed in a private flat.
The flat itself is alright. Everything functions as it should and it does look like the photos. There are two balconies, although the handle on the living room balcony decides to pack in whenever it feels like it…
Because this is a privately owned flat, don’t expect any help whatsoever from the Belvedere Club staff. On the first day we arrived, the receptionist was rude and told us to go and read the instructions from our agent (there were barely any, by the way). As a foreigner, I understand that sometimes direct language can come across as blunt due to a language barrier. That wasn’t the situation here. This was pure disinterest and zero care.
The absolute piss-take, however, is the indoor swimming pool. The listing advertises access. That’s simply not true. We were told it’s €23 per person. Unless they’re planning to bring my dead grandfather back, I fail to see how that is even remotely proportionate.
There’s no ski room, so you can’t store your skis in the building. You also can’t clomp back to the flat in ski boots. That’s your problem to sort. Yes, there’s a ski shop on site where you can leave your skis — and yes, they’ll charge you for that too.
The walk to the gondola is another horror story. It’s supposedly 6–8 minutes, but I swear it will be the worst walk of your life thanks to Bulgarian infrastructure. Advertising this place as ski-in, ski-out is beyond cheeky — it’s criminal.
And here’s the thing: most of this might have been tolerable if we hadn’t paid a small fortune. But we did. The whole point was to stay somewhere nice where we wouldn’t have to stress about a thing. This is not that place, pal.
Unless the price drops significantly, I honestly cannot see why anyone would choose to stay here.

We left 2 days earlier. Just don’t.
The mattresses, bedding, and bathroom were filthy. The apartment smelled funky. The pool water was far from clear, and the area around it was occupied by mostly Russian-speaking guests smoking cigarettes, drinking alcohol and eating pickles?!. Overall, an unpleasant and uninviting place—best to avoid.

Belvedere March 2025
If you need a location very close to the gondola and are on a tight budget this could be for you. The downside, rooms are of a mediocre nature and although staff came in didn't seem to be much cleaning going on. Breakfast was ok but not the best I've had in bansko but not worse either. Are probably better hotels to stay at within the same price range it's only real saving grace is it's close proximity to the lift. Spa facilities aren't well advertised so wasn't until day 5 we realised there was a sauna and steam room. The lifeguard in the pool was more interested in his phone than looking at the pool. Doubt I will be staying here again.
