Tragedy

The service is extremely awful. Waitress doesn't know what to do, how to do, when to do, why to do. Customers must wait for everything unfortunately for a Long time. Food...no comment, only frozen... drink..drink is coming without ice and if you ask by mistake for ice, automatically you are once again enemy, not person who want to give money...

Food needs to be better

Breakfast is ok.
We tried to eat the evening meal but very poor. Food is cold and very unappealing, we ended up eating out in other restaurants in the area which were better but added to the expense of our trip
as we were supposed to be half board. Rooms were very nice which was a bonus.

The worst breakfast I've ever seen!

The staff at the reception was nice. I got a small single room for 40 levas including breakfast. Awkward turquoise colour of bedsheets and curtains, but the bed was comfortable. The meal I got in the restaurant of the hotel was very average. It was very hot in my room and I didn't find any heating regulation, so I had to open the window for the night. The breakfast was like a bad dream after you wake up. Just about everything was wrong: 1) No real bread, only this american-style square prefabricated pieces of I-don't-know-what made of the worst quality wheat flour - they call it "toast bread" and I really struggle to eat it. Apart from this, there were some disgusting industrial "croissants" and "biscuits". 2) I arrived slightly before 10 o'clock and there was no coffee (or tea). I got it a while later when a lady who locked the coffee machine in another room (wtf?) showed up. The coffee was terrible. 3) There were no vegetables and overall very few things to put on your "bread". Also the juice was the lowest quality product with a disgusting chemical taste. 4) Immediately at 10:00 the lady started putting everything away, making a lot of noise. All things considered, I wish I never woke up for this breakfast!

Better pillows and breakfast coffee needed, otherwise good.

Arrived around 8pm on a Friday evening. Hotel Orlovets will tale you around 10 to 15 minutes on foot from the rail station.
Very friendly receptionist who checked me in. The room was bright, clean and bathroom in good order. My only complaint about the bed was stupid 'sausage' shaped pillows which really ought to be changed.
WiFi in the room worked well. There was a TV but not so sure the first two or three channels on the program menu should be porn!
I paid a small extra for breakfast which gives you a ticket to hand over to staff on the 6th floor. The breakfast room was OK. I have had better self service breakfasts before, but the disappointment was coffee. You either make up one from sachets of instant 'Nescafé 3 in 1" or ask the staff as you come in. They have a vending machine and empty the coffee from a plastic cup it dispenses in to a china. An odd arrangement.
Whilst this is a review of the accommodation, I had a very good evening meal in the hotel restaurant with excellent food, wine and service.
