Highly recommended, centrally located hotel with all amenities!

Alliance Hotel in Plovdiv has very clean and large rooms with air conditioning and flat-screen TV. The cleanliness of the sanitary facilities was nothing to complain about. It was all very clean. The bathroom was also very large. Care products such as shower gel were also available. The bed was clean and very comfortable. The rooms can only be entered with a key card and are therefore very secure. The staff was very nice and friendly as well as helpful; speaks English as well. No 24-hour reception. Credit card payment was also possible. The house is equipped for the disabled. There is also an elevator. Each guest also receives an electronic key card. So it is possible to open the door of the hotel from the outside even after the end of the service. The hotel also has a 24-hour guarded underground car park. The vehicle must be registered with the hotel and the parking space is free of charge. After the entrance, the large gate is closed. Unauthorized persons cannot steal the vehicle. If the parking garage staff is not in the cottage, you can also ring the bell. The underground car park staff arrives in a few minutes and opens the gate. Attractions, museums, churches, restaurants and cafes as well as the city centre and department stores can be reached on foot from the hotel. Otherwise, there is also public transport near the hotel. Breakfast was not offered at the time of my stay as the restaurant staff was on vacation. Otherwise, the Alliance Hotel also has a restaurant. Highly recommended and centrally located hotel. Would stay there again.

Good price good location

About 15-20 minutes from the centre, this hotel has a good location in relation to the city center with the advantage of internal parking and a good quality of room, which is quite large and clean. Breakfast not included but can be done for €4.

Close to the Railway Station

Advertised as being in the heart of the city but in reality the only things within reasonable distance are a shopping mall and the railway station. Check in was fine even though I was followed in by the receptionist. The car park is underground and you have to be let in and out, so good for security but the ramp down is steep and the car park itself rather compact. The room on the other hand was spacious and well appointed and clean, access though involved corridors with automatic lighting that wasn't very quick at coming on, most times we reached the door of our room before the lights switched on. Breakfast choices were rather limited and did not seem to be the responsibility of anyone in particular to ensure that things were replenished. Staff overall were helpful and friendly with reasonable English.

5 night stay

We have stayed here many times over the last 5 years. The service has deteriorated even though the prices have steadily increased. Limited breakfast choice often run out of food and crockery. On site parking has moved to the car park of a gym on the side street. No beverage facility in the room. No shower toiletries in the room just a dispenser. Staff do their best but not sure why it’s rated 4 star.

Not an attractive hotel for tourists

The locality is unattractive and 2 km from the old town walking street. The foyer is unwelcoming, and on our floor the carpets were badly marked. Our room was large but sparsely furnished. The aircon barely kept the room cool enough. Only on pillow on the bed and the spare had no cover. The shower over bath had a big step down with no safety hold. There were no toiletries and no free water. The restaurant was unappealing and breakfast was rudimentary.
