Located 3 blocks from the metro, super clean and quiet.

Very clean and quiet hostel. Bartel the manager and Alexei the owner are exceptional. I had an ugly situation with a guest and as soon as I told them about it they took care of it and I felt safe again. There is air conditioning in the rooms and the hot water in the shower is exceptional! I highly recommend it!

They tried to extort more money from me

I had planned on giving this hostel a good review irrespective of the smelly sheets until they tried taking more money from me.
I checked in on a 4 day booking and everything is to be paid up-front with cash which is fine. The towel has a 10 lev deposit and the key fob 5. I paid for everything and as I am a cyclist, my bicycle was placed against a wall in the courtyard during my stay as recommended, and then moved adjacent to a volunteers bicycle in an outdoor corridor. I asked if I could leave my bicycle for under two days after my checkout as I was visiting elsewhere and would return., to which they responded "absolutely". I returned within the specified time frame and had booked another night. Upon arrival they told me I had to pay 5 Lev for the bicycle for every day I had stayed. Never was this mentioned once. Never at check-in, and never throughout my stay, though the bicycle was the topic of conversation on numerous occasions by these volunteer staff. Never have I been charged for a bicycle before by a hostel either and what is obvious is that if this charge was genuine they would have charged me along with everything else at the check-in as they're seemingly efficient with money and requested everything else immediately. Clearly either the owner has gotten greedy or desperate as the place is empty most days with no guests or the volunteer staff are trying to deceive me and pocket the money. Potentially the latter as I requested them to explain to the owner that I was never informed but after waiting 15 minutes "the owner never responded" apparently. The problem with places like this is that they're filled with desperate broke volunteers who are living in these tiny environments for extensive periods. As an extensive traveller myself it is my opinion that it is not a trustworthy place as a combined result of these openly desperate staff and a owner who is perhaps struggling to pay the bills. Bad vibes. Wouldn't recommend.

Friendly hostel in the centre of Sofia

I liked very much this hostel. It's situated in the centre of Sofia, not far from Railway and Central Bus Station, not far from metro. It's maintained in a clean and tidy state, staff is very friendly, especially volunteer from Belgium. The owner of hostel is also friendly person who is willing to help. There are safe boxes there with keys, also there are a few book, dining area is spacy, you can eat, there are microwave, washing machine, refrigerator. Also there is everything for cooking - electric stove/cooker, plates, folks, spoons, frying pans. There is a beautiful garden. I recommend this hostel for comfort stay is Sofia!!!

Quirky and relaxed

This hostel is really sweet, it's very clean and the volunteers are super nice people. There is lots of nice quirks that I haven't seen in other hostels while travelling before and I feel really safe here.

Great deals

It’s pretty great for its price. The staffs are nice and they really took care of the facility while staying there. The location is alright due to it being close to the metro, grocery store and also the gym.
