Charming little bungalow right on the beach

These cute little bungalows are gorgeous! Talk about rustic charm. The photos say it all. As we went in July it was raining for parts of the day but the bungalow was cosy and dry and Cameron, our host, was very helpful and kind.
We loved the patter of rain on the roof in any case and it means that the nearby waterfalls, just a gentle stagger away, are running at full force. Spectacular! You won’t get that during peak season. We had cool and refreshing sea breezes which took the edge off the warmth and the fan meant mosquitoes were kept at bay ( there is a romantic mosquito net if required) and we slept soundly at night.
This is the intimate side of the island; no loud music, no raucous bar. You can get all that in Koh Toch if that’s your thing. As it’s off-peak season, the locals come out and reclaim the place. We watched dads teaching kids how to fish off the pier and there was the odd bit of maintenance going on but nothing too loud.
As you’re right on the beach, you can hear the waves lap the shore right under the bungalow. Cameron provided earplugs to cut the volume down during the night which worked perfectly for us.
Charmingly quiet and we were the only ones there! Off season is the best!
You may miss out on some of the activities which take place on the island during peak season and if you’re after all that then now is not the time to come. We just relaxed, recharged and enjoyed ourselves.
The rustic steps up to the bungalow may pose a challenge to some. Just a thought if you need easy access.
All in all, we loved it!

Loved my stay here. Great location, great view. Had a good experience. Clean rooms and very warm staff.

I really loved this spot. The bungalows are very picturesque. The location is perfect, on one side you're in the middle of the village's main street with restaurants and bars, and one the other side you're sleeping cozily with waves sounding in the background. Staff was very attentive.

Heb het erg naar m'n zin gehad hier. Mooie bungalow op het strand. Goed in de buurt van alles en fijn om 's avonds op het balkon met mooi uitzicht naar de zee te luisteren met een glas wijn. Ben op meerdere plekken op het eiland geweest en dit was de ervaring waar ik even naar zocht.

Trotz bestätigter Buchung wurde mir ein Tag vor Anreise gesagt, dass kein Zimmer frei wäre und storniert werden muss. Musste deshalb kurzfristig ein neues Hotel buchen, was drei mal so viel gekostet hat.
