Great spot

Stayed one night on our road trip and it was good! Got 3 bedroom unit for all of us. Used the hot tub and it was enjoyable. No issues here. The hotel also gave us bus passes to go downtown and back which was great as parking and traffic are an issue in Banff.

Do not book this if you expect luxury!

In the pictures it looks fine.
But what an old mess!
Pool and hot tub have overdue maintenance!
A mini apartment that smells like the fireplace.
Windows that are dirty, sliding doors hardly opened.
Bed was luckily clean, but otherwise grubby.
Free bus to Banff center was doable.
Parking is a disaster.

The outdoor hot tub, swim pool and sauna were pristine and exactly the way they showed. The rooms were jacked up for me for labor day long weekend….I got ripped off in that way.
Cleanliness…there were some stains on the carpet and cobwebs on the lights but the beds had fresh linens and amenities clean.

Urn….no.

I am not usually a person to do a 1* review, but…The location seemed promising on the drive up and the staff seemed friendly enough. We checked in and checked out an hour later after finding other accommodation. The lodges are very tired and in need to refurbishment. The initial cabin 210 had very worn wooden steps to approach. Inside, the combo had smelt of smoke from the log burner and there was signs of damage to the external patio door. Overall looked semi clean, but the upper bedroom had a dusty draw unit.
We then tried 212, which smelt better, and 217. Overall they were all similar state, and we decided to go elsewhere….

Good views, but accommodation could be improved.

Mixed views on this resort. The pool area is lovely with great views. The inclusion of the roam bus pass was excellent and location to see Banff national park is good and nothing is too far away. Rooms however are quite dated and don't have much kitchen equipment. Bathroom wasn't the greatest. There is also quite a lot of train noise. Staff were helpful.
