All the staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were spacious enough for families. However, the room facilities were a bit old; items like the mirrors and trash cans were rusty.

Horrible manager. Terrible customer service

We checked in for birthday party. Found out water was being shut off next morning. Manager refused refund or comp stay and was beyond rude, yelled at me and insisted we were given a free cancelation but we weren't. Lied that there were witnesses. Horrible customer service. Avoid.

The good: Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was great.
The no so good: Bathroom was dated and run down, tub was stained. Headboards had big greasy looking stains above the pillows. Beds were extremely noisy, just a simple rollover woke up everyone. Pull out couch was horrible, I know pullouts are typically not comfortable but this one was the worst, mattress was paper thin and you could feel every bar or lump under it. Couch cushions were also stained and badly ripped.
Definitely not a $200+/night hotel room.

Clean, Comfortable, and great location.

During our annual fishing trip to Canada, we have been driving up most of the way from the US, and stopping overnight somewhere in Canada, before finishing out the drive on Saturday morning. This year's choice was the Hampton in Barrie, and it turned out to be a good one. We slept well, everything seemed clean, and the place was relatively quiet. The Receptionist who checked us in, also recommended a local pizza place who would deliver to the hotel, and he called us when it arrived. Turned out to be a great choice for dinner after a long day of driving. For next year's trip, we are definitely considering stopping here again.
