Friendly

Great location....basic accommodations but an amazing restaurant. Burger was the best I've ever had but split it...it's huge!@

Poorly Maintained & Filthy

The location for exploring Wells Gray is great & the place does have potential. Unfortunately, it is very poorly maintained.
Several of the amenities were out of service & seem to have been that way for some time. Only 1 shower available to women & 2 available to men for the entire campground. If you're short, the water from the shower head won't even hit you. There was no way to adjust the head & you definitely need to wear shoes while showering. It's gross.
This campground is home to Tree Planters increasing the amount of people sharing the amenities. It appears that there was an attempt to have several portable toilet where the Tree Planters are residing but all had out of service signs. That meant 2 toilets for all the women (unless you went into the restaurant during operating hours).
The washrooms were absolutely filthy! Mirrors & counters never seemed to be wiped down. We saw someone in there cleaning the floors. Unfortunately, their is an issue with drainage in the washroom. The floor is always soaking wet & the dirt from the gravel lot instantly created muddy conditions.
Garbage & recycling was not emptied until day 4 of our stay. They were overflowing when we arrived.
The sinks for potable water were never cleaned. Clogged with debris & absolutely disgusting!
The small cabins were good & appeared clean but that was the only positive about this place.

Surprisingly nice resort with amenities

Great little resort! Nice pool, pond and appreciated the onsite bar & restaurant. Great food, great service. Staff everywhere were excellent. We had a half duplex, large with a king, queen & single. Rooms a bit tired but reno’s are underway. New flooring and bath. Kitchenette was nice. Everything clean and comfortable but mattress could use an update. Grounds were lovely, a pool, a pond and gazebo. Campground next door looked nice.

Small but enough

When we arrived there was a little confusion about which room we where in first we got one set of keys when we were walking to our car the woman at the the front desk found out it was the wrong keys so we went back and got the right ones. We had cabin 18 everything was fine so we were glad to stay there for two nights.

Incredibly rancid showers/toilets

We stayed 2 nights at the campsite. From the reception it looks nice with a fountain and terrace. But what a rancid intention at the showers and toilets!!
For the ladies 2 out of 3 showers out of commission (1 because there is no shower curtain). So only 1 shower on the whole campsite for about 100 pitches. And 2 ladies' toilets.
With the men 2 of the 3 showers that were available. And only 2 of toilets available of which the 2nd day 1 clogged.
The first evening I showered with the gentlemen, who looked just a bit cleaner. Especially do not look at the shower curtain or shower tray. Mind at 0 and tap on...
The second evening I washed in the camper at the counter. The shower was again / still very dirty.
We used the toilet but in the evening just stood / sat behind a tree to avoid the toilet.
Near the laundry room is a large waste bin that has not seemed emptied in weeks. Half applies to overflowing waste bins on the campsite.
We thought of going to the restaurant on the campsite but because of the shower / toilet experiences we did not dare to do that.
This really can't be!!!
