Fabulous service

The food is delicious. The service is 5 star. We had asked about getting a full peacan pie later in the afternoon, there was only 1/2 a pie left. When we arrived 3 hours later they had taken time from a busy shift and made a whole peacan pie for us. Wow. I've never seen anything like it. Right on!!!!

Meh….

Food was ok, very greasy. Carpeted Floors were filthy. I think this place has had its day, it needs a major over haul to be customer ready.
Giant menu. Server was ok, food came out fast but was nothing special.
We likely won’t be back. The hotel part didn’t look much better, very dingy looking.

Very old and dated.

Stayed here as was doing some work in Petawawa. Hotel is old and dated. Missing sections of the old Venetian blinds. I came home with a rash all over my arms and head as I had to put a pillow over my head to block the light coming in the room overnight. You can probably guess what the rash was from. I have called the local health unit, I also called to hotel to tell them with no call back.

Worst steak special, ever

After plates were dropped on the table, our server was never seen again. Someone else brought the bill. The steak special was deplorable. 2/3 of steak was fat and inedible, 1 Tbsp of overdone frozen mixed vegetables, 3 greasy “roast” potatoes and raw mushrooms completed an expensive , totally disappointing meal. The dinner didn’t come with a roll or salad side. I paid $25+ taxes for a small scoop of soggy veggies and a couple of bites of oily meat charred to a crisp on the outside.

Social Distance Please

Normally the food here is okay but does take a while to be prepared (~40 minutes). The owner did not seem to be inclined to socially distance from our group today because we had a small child with us. He kept touching him and trying to put his finger in his mouth or even carry him. While it's ok to admire kids, acting like a grandparent goes over a boundary - even more so during a global pandemic. Please consider giving more space and asking parents what is acceptable before assuming it will be fine to touch their children.
