Lovely experience.

We enjoyed our stay. Very clean, with all modern amenities. Balcony was spacious the bed has clean sheets.

Excellent

I was only there for one night, but I was impressed. Immaculate room, plenty of parking, attractive location (quiet), helpful manager. Reasonably priced. No issues with checking in or getting the WiFi working. No problem recommending to others.

Easy and pleasurable stay, thoroughly stocked unit

I stayed at one of the two units in Lipton Place for a weekend in May with my son, who played bagpipes each morning at the Victoria Highland Games. There was no check-in or check-out process required; Lipton (the first name of the owner as well as the property name) sent me a code for the door lock. There is a parking spot for each unit that worked fine for my minivan, though I would not have wanted to park something much bigger there. The apartment was clean and well equipped. A microwave, range, full-size refrigerator (with some fruit for us), toaster, hot water pot (Earl Grey tea bags available), Keurig coffeemaker (with some Starbucks K Cups, though not decaf), dishwasher, pots, glasses, plates, bowls, utensils, and basic seasonings in the kitchen. The shower/tub was good, and the bathroom was stocked with appropriate towels soap, shampoo, some other toiletries, and a hair dryer. It also had washer and dryer. The closets were quite adequate and included iron and ironing board. The main room even had a variable-color LED and packaged slippers. Netflix was available. The bed and fold-out couch were fine; the bed had nice quality covers and pillows. We took advantage of the kayaks out back. The boat access to the gorge is nearby; the water was shallow and not too cold for May. The gorge is very scenic, whether one walks along the bank or paddles. A canoe and, I think, two bicycles also were available to borrow. The house and the garden outside are attractive, and the area seems safe and not too noisy. A grocery store (Fairway Market) and Subway are walkable at about .6 km away.
Lipton and his family were friendly, and he checked with us to make sure everything was in order. The price was near the low end of motels in the area for the weekend we were there, and the experience was great. I highly recommend Lipton Place.

Excellent self catering apartment for a couple

Lipton is a great host, very welcoming. The apartment is compact but there is everything you need. Comfortable bed and pillows, nice products in a very clean bathroom, coffee pod machine with pods supplied and also oats for breakfast! Kitchen is well equipped to make meals. TV has local offerings but there is also Netflix to choose. There’s a lovely patio and small garden to relax in if the weather is clement, and the apartment is over the road from the Gorge Walkway - a jogger/ Walker space at all times of the day. Close to the highway, on a busy road, but you don’t hear anything in the apartment. Can highly recommend.
