Always stay here when traveling the Alaska Highway.
My latest review. The place is a gem and very reasonable. Close to restaurants and good people at the desk. The rooms are clean and beds very comfortable. Price is extremely reasonable. Coffee pot and micro wave oven in the room.

Disgustingly dirty !
We booked this motel for two different nights during our road trip to Yukon.
On our way to Yukon, we reached this motel in the afternoon after a twelve hour drive to find that the office was closed and we needed to call a number. I did, and the responder (a male voice) said he would be at the reception in a minute. We thought he is somewhere in the motel. However, after many minutes of waiting a lady arrived, stepped out of her vehicle and said she forgot to bring the key and went away. She came back perhaps fifteen minutes later to check us in.
The room she assigned to us was dirty beyond words can describe. The sheet had hair and stains all over (I regret not taking a photo). We asked for changing the sheet, but she insisted that the sheet has been changed and came to see herself. When there was no way to defend her stance, she allotted another room to us - equally filthy ! The air conditioner was blocked by the television, electric bulbs were missing ! We were so frustrated that we didn't want to discuss this any further. We covered the sheets and pillows with the sheets that we had with us and somehow spent the night before checking out early in the morning next day. We cancelled our next booking.
While this motel provided rooms at relatively low cost, the owner must learn that it doesn't mean that the guests can be provided with unwashed sheets, dirty rooms and stained sheets and couches so filthy that one wouldn't want to touch. The owner needs to understand that doing business with customers calls for some obligations on the owner's part and providing a bare minimum standard of cleanliness is one of them !

Friendly check-n, that's where the good ends
How this motel has somewhat okay reviews is beyond me. The lady who checked us in (owner?) was very pleasant and we had a nice little chat but the room was FILTHY.
Bathroom and towels were okay but the fridge had crumbs, stains and hair in it, the outside was sticky. There was also a smell in the room that was very unpleasant.
Floor was clean on first glance, but not so anymore on second, especially under the bed. Coffe maker was dirty, i didn't dare to turn the cups over to check them out. Sheets seemed to be washed but had hair on it (?!) Like someone else commented, door knobs were obviously dirty but not wiped down, remote control had dirt and don't-know-what on it, obviously accumulated over years.
Luckily I had my sleeping bag and sanitizing wipes with me, I left the room a lot cleaner than I found it.
And to top it off, some locals had rented a room above us and were busy yelling at each other and coming and going all night long.
Would rather sleep in the car than in this motel if i ever come through Fort Nelson again and all others are booked.

Worst experience EVER
Owner is nasty and the daughter lets her unruly children run rampant.
They rent to criminals.
Pillows were stained as was the mattress.
Poor wifi.
Extremely rude. And very unprofessional in all aspects.

Okay for one night
The staff person was pleasant. She did make a point of saying that I'd made my reservation through Booking.com, which surprised me. When I looked again just now, the website for this motel does appear to be hosted by Booking.com (based on the color scheme and layout), so I'm not sure how else I would have booked unless I called directly. The room was generally okay, but it definitely needed some additional cleaning (upside down coffee cups were dusty inside and out, at least one bedspread needed washing, obvious fingerprints on doors). We could live with that since we were staying only one night, the price was inexpensive, and the location was good. Our room was at the back, so no traffic noise, and we only heard a little noise from the person upstairs.
