Grimy, gross and overpriced.
Extremely disappointed, for the $190/night price we were expecting a level of cleanliness and comfort. What we found was an overpriced hotel that was one of the dirtiest I've been in. The evening staff were pleasant and helpful. Which is the only reason for the two star review.

Not a bad hotel just off the highway. Rooms are dated and in need of some renovations. Restaurant has a decent menu but was unavailable for one of our nights.

I don’t know where they took the pictures on their site but I didn’t see anything close to them. Very dirty and had a bad smell Had to jiggle the door to lock it . Will never stay here again

There was no luggage carrier, asked the staff if they had one, told me no. Then got placed in the furthest room available with no close outside entrance or exit. When I went to turn on the water, nothing but black and. Green water came out with a lot of air. It was obvious no one had been put in this room for a long time. The shower had mold. The bathroom was so tiny that you could hardly get a shower comfortably. I have pictures and a video of the water and room. Also, the vending soda machine was out of order. I have a video but cannot post it here

I stay at the Mount Peyton regularly for work, and after spending far more nights here than I ever wanted to, I can confidently say this is one of the worst hotels I’ve ever experienced.
The entire property feels like it has been abandoned by management. It is severely outdated, poorly maintained, and in desperate need of a complete renovation from top to bottom. Every stay seems to reveal another problem, and it’s become obvious that these aren’t isolated incidents—they’re the standard.
The rooms are filthy. I’ve encountered hair throughout the room, fingerprints smeared all over the walls, rust-stained showers, clogged sinks, toilets that barely flush, and even blood-stained bed sheets. That’s simply unacceptable for any hotel, regardless of price.
The beds are a complete disaster. Many are so worn out that they’ve collapsed in the middle or have deep craters where countless guests have slept before. Getting a decent night’s sleep is nearly impossible when the mattress feels like it’s on the verge of falling apart.
The air conditioners are ancient, smell musty, and frequently don’t work at all. The televisions look newer, but many either don’t function or have cable boxes that aren’t even compatible with them, making the upgrade completely pointless.
To make matters worse, housekeeping doesn’t even service rooms daily. Considering the overall condition of the hotel, that’s the last thing guests should have to worry about.
The most frustrating part is that I’ve stayed here many times over the years for work, and these issues never seem to improve. If anything, the hotel continues to decline while guests are still expected to pay for a level of accommodation that simply isn’t being delivered.
Do yourself a favour and stay literally anywhere else. There are far better options available, and almost anything would be an improvement over this place. At this point, I’d honestly rather sleep in a tent than spend another night here.
Don’t waste your money. This hotel should be embarrassed to charge guests for rooms in this condition. Until it undergoes a complete overhaul and management starts taking pride in the property again, I cannot recommend it to anyone. Avoid it completely.
