Wonderful stay on Grand Manan

This was our first time to Grand Manan and we could not have chosen a better place to stay. The location is very convenient to the ferry, and the inn was charming, comfortable, and welcoming. Our room was spacious and had a fantastic view of the bay. We enjoyed talking with Linda, and breakfast was delicious. Would definitely stay here again.

Staying at Compass Rose

Just returned from Grand Manan where we stayed at the Compass Rose for the 4th year. Excellent accommodations with a great view of the harbor. Breakfast both days was tasty and healthy. Will be staying there again.

Wonderful water view

We stayed two nights in "Jack's" room, which was located in Flagg house, beside the main inn. We had a wonderful stay, views of the water out the window, comfortable bed, awesome water pressure in the shower and a delicious breakfast each morning. It is on the main road shortly after the ferry but very peaceful. We sat outside on the adirondak chairs with a glass of wine reading and watching the water. We would highly reccomend a stay here!

Cozy comfort!

What a beautiful location on Grand Manan Island. This is a beautiful accommodation to stay short-term or longer. Right from the moment you enter and are welcomed, everything is perfect. Our room overlooked the bay, which was fun to watch as the fishermen left early in the morning and returned in the evening. We could watch from our room or the lovely wrap-around deck that had plenty of seating. The room itself was very comfortable as far as bedding, towels, couch, etc. Everything was clean and the room actually looked bigger than in the photos. Breakfast was another treat. All homemade, including the bread! Linda and Kevin were excellent hosts and obviously care very much for this well-maintained property. We highly recommend the Compass Rose and would gladly stay again should we return to this beautiful part of New Brunswick.

Comfortable and convenient

We were in the garden suite for a few days. The owners are efficient and helpful. Our little suite was well equipped and comfortable. We could make our own tea and coffee there, with the kettle and coffee machine provided. Microwave and fridge were useful. The view onto the bay was lovely and the breakfasts tasty. The path to the suite leads down an uneven slope along some steps and then some paving stones. There is no hand railing so this path should be used with care.
