Its pretty much what they mentioned on the ad. Staff was friendly and welcoming. We took a single use single room, pretty small but serves its purpose.!

Shabby public areas clean room

Initially shocked. Room in the basement was clean. Not service during my 3 day stay. Floor was wood laminate. Noisy from other rooms. I think the room may have been under the reception where activity all night was loud. The door was badly fitted and allowed light from hallway on all 4 sides. There were no tea making facilities. Tap water tasted awful. One idiosyncrasy was the presence of a fridge freezer. I've never seen one in a hotel room before. It was loud and I unplugged it. The TV didn't work. The bed had a futon mattress. I woke 2 mornings out of 3 with back and neck pain.
The public areas were shabby, mostly wood laminate and loud.

Terrible

This inn was disgusting. Filthy dirty. Paid over $230 a night for a stay. The room had no windows. Just curtains nailed to the wall to make it look like a window. Cigarette butts on the floor, dirty towel under the bed that was not ours, moldy shower curtain, TV did not work. The room was terrible. Room 410. Fourth floor. No elevator and the so called balcony wasn't safe. There was a hole in the deck of it and full of pigeons. I would not recommend this place to my dog.

This hotel needs some major work; which it appears that might be going on in other areas of the hotel.
Carpet on the stairs coming in were dirty.
No hair dryer provided.
No ice onsite.
Door knob on the inside of the room fell off every time you went to leave. Old wooden door that provided very little security.
Curtains in the room need to be fixed or replaced - they did not hang in a way that closed off the outside from seeing in.
Floors were sticky & dirty in the room.
No onsite parking - when we asked staff if where we had parked on the street was ok he said yes. We got ticketed as we were in a street cleaning zone.
Not sure how they ever got such a high rating on Hotels.com. We know now not to trust the ratings on the Hotels.com website.

The room was spacious and comfortable, however I didn't sleep the entire night because the was a rat in my room. Scamperinh around. I spoke to the reception and the lone person in the entire building couldn't do anything about it but give me sticky paper. You can imagine how comfortably I slept. I was out of the place first thing the next morning.
