Cathy is an angel sent from heaven. Flying in on the red eye from Vancouver she was able to find a room for me for an early check in to change and refresh before my work day. She was so friendly and helpful that I will only stay at the Delta when my travels take me to Halifax. Thank you Cathy. You have made me a customer for life.

We booked the King Harbour view. Room is beautiful. View you are looking out at an office building . Not as advertised, would not have paid for the view we got . Asked staff to provide the room we paid for, were told “we are fully booked”. Yes and we booked 5 months ago. So you gave our room away then? The staff at the front desk were very rude. I am a polite and calm person, and was not rude back. I found their snotty behaviour upsetting. Would not stay at this property again because of it.

A great hotel in an excellent downtown Halifax location, within easy walking distance of both the Waterfront and the Citadel.
The service was outstanding, and special thanks to Victoria at the front desk for being so friendly, welcoming, and helpful.
The hotel also has a very nice indoor pool, which was a great bonus after a day of sightseeing. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay in the heart of Halifax. Highly recommended!

Rooms were clean, spacious, and modern. Onsite paid parking was worth it. The pantry on our floor was well stocked with breakfast items and other snacks each day. Had a 6th floor room with great views of the harbor. Short walk to the long boardwalk each day where we took in the international Buskers festival on the waterfront. Hotel is walking distance to the city streets, boardwalk, citadel. Very nice stay!

Convenient location

The location of this hotel is great. The rooms were spacious, clean, bed comfortable and bathroom was big. It was also quiet. The Airport Express bus stops right by the front of the hotel which makes it a very convenient way to get to and from the airport. The hotel is also connected to Scotia Place Mall which is handy, the mall is not large and doesn't have many stores but it does have a food court when you need to grab a bite or a coffee and snacks at Dollarama. You don't even need to go outside to get to the mall. The hotel did have a Starbucks/cafe in the lobby but since you can get cheaper coffee at the mall, it's a better alternative. The Hotel Restaurant however had really good food and adequate portion sizes, we had the fish and chips, taste was good, and price was a lot better than eating at the restaurants on the waterfront. They also had lobster rolls. One day there was mussel tasting offered in the lobby which brought us to later eat at the Restaurant.
Some drawbacks would be the pool. It looked like there was maintenance going on as a part had yellow tape down some stairs, although the pool was open. The pool area could be cleaner as well. The chlorine was way too strong so remember to bring a pair of goggles or your eyes will burn. There is also no washroom/shower that I saw to wash before getting in the pool and after.
