Wonderful home, with a wonderful host. She made us feel welcome right from the start. The room was spacious and well-decorated, and the bed was comfy. All was going well until Nova Scotia Power turned off the electricity @ 23:00 for work elsewhere. Elecricity was supposed to be back on @ 07:00, and we awoke to the smell of yeast - so something was happening in the kitchen. Alas, the power wasn't restored until some time closer to 09:00 IIRC, so the croissants were baked after we'd had our breakfast of cold cereal, fruit, yogurt, etc. Guests were sent on their way with croissants 'for the road', but we somehow forgot grab ours. Shucks. LOL
Highly recommended for those looking for a place to stay in the area.
BTW, Mahone Bay is very scenic and we got some nice photos.

The staff were very helpful and kind. The room and shared bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was plentiful and there was Keurig coffee and a large selection of tea. We didn’t use the hot tub but the patio was nice. The room we stayed in does not have A/C but the window fan kept us cool. I would recommend the Miller House to couples looking for an authentic Bed and Breakfast experience in a historic home.

What a wonderful place to stay! We were so sad we hadn’t set aside more time to stay at this lovely B&B in a sweet town— just to slow down and enjoy the place itself. Margaret is a delightful host and inn-keeper and we are already thinking about our next visit.

Lovely traditional property in a perfect location for the waterfront, shops and restaurants. Only downside was that my room, advertised as a deluxe single, didn’t have en suite facilities and had to share a bathroom with guests from two other rooms. Seemed outrageous given the cost and owners should be up front about this at the start.

We had a wonderful experience at the Miller House! Margaret was so interesting and we felt like old friends the minute we walked in! We stayed in the Captain’s Quarters and had a wrap around deck only accessible from our room. There were shops and places to eat dinner within walking distance in their beautiful village. Margaret made a delicious breakfast each morning and sat and chatted with us. Staying there made our visit to Nova Scotia so much warmer and welcoming!
