Charming, comfortable, updated historic building in a quiet part of town, this is your hotel!!

We (my partner and a good friend of ours), just came back from our biking trip on the P'tit Train du Nord. We spent 2 nights here and loved it! The hotel is so warm and charming, as were the staff. We loved the historical feel of the building and where it was situated in the quiet part of Mont Tremblant village. Our room was small, but sufficient for the two of us, had a renovated bathroom, mini fridge, coffee maker, individual A/C, very comfortable bed, exceptionally clean, and quiet!!
The hotel provides inside safe storage for the bikes, and it was a pleasure to just roll them out and get immediately onto the bike path the first day. We also really enjoyed walking around the small town and the sweet views from the little beach right there.
We ate dinner twice at the downstairs restaurant due to the convenience, after long and busy days. The service was so warm and helpful, and the food was yummy!!! Lots of options that could keep you happy for a few dinners.
The first morning we went into the more major part of Mont Tremblant for a great breakfast place recommended by the staff - 10 min drive (at the most), lots of easy free parking. The second morning we went immediately next door to a cafe that had yummy breakfast options as well. We also went to a little market up the street to get a few basics we wanted in our rooms.
Others have pointed out that this is probably not the best place for families. You do need to be able to drag your suitcases up one or more flights of stairs, but at ages 68 and 66, we were able to manage that.
If you want quiet, convenience to that section of the bike path, comfortable, clean, basic rooms, access to great food in the less crowded part of town, and can handle some stairs, this is your place!!! We stayed somewhere else our third night, and all agreed we preferred Hotel Mont Tremblant - we are already talking about coming back next year!

Very bad experience

Very bad experience, I would not recommend this property..... especially since there are many options in this area.
The rooms are clean, that's not bad the only good thing.
Old building, so really poorly insulated in terms of noise. Music outside from 7:00 am on weekends.
If you encounter any inconvenience, rest assured that there is NO customer service. Not only is the problem not taken seriously or addressed, but the only person you can turn to is the receptionist, who offers no support.

A Terrible Experience!

We were really looking forward to our stay at this hotel, having in advance, taken time to check that we could have a lake view room with two beds and more importantly that they were able to offer gluten free options for a meal. We were assured on both points that this was fine.
However, on arrival we were told that they couldn't give us a room with a lake view as they didn't have any with two beds. The question is why didn't they say this when we asked specifically about this in our initial emails? The room we were given was on the side overlooking a bike workshop and although quite spacious had a very small bathroom, with the sink having to be in the bedroom itself. We also noticed a loud noise which we were told was from the bike shop's generator but would end when they closed around 5p.m. However, the noise, or similar one, did continue for part of the evening and we understood that this was something to do with the Hotels heating / cooling system although we think it was coming from the kitchen, but not sure of this.
We, before our meal in the evening, went down to the bar / restaurant to make sure that they were able to deal with someone who was coeliac - gluten free. It was obvious from the manager, Karen, that despite our emails she had not discussed our allergy with the kitchen. From their menu there was few options other than salads as the chips which came with most meals were fried in a contaminated frier, i.e. with goods containing gluten. After over a 45 minute discussion she then concluded that I could have a steak with a baked potato. As, due to an illness, I can't eat late we booked a table for 6.30p.m. We arrived about 6.20p.m. and ordered. At 8p.m. we still hadn't received our meal. I spoke several times to the manager and she in the end said they had a fault on their system hence the delay but no one came to inform us of this. When the meal finally arrived there was a piece of steak and half a baked potato which was completely bad in the middle; a big black patch which was clear to see. By this time I was beyond myself and it was too late for me to eat or I would be ill in the night. She then came back with simply a piece of steak on the plate and said the potato had to be re-done. At this point I said I no longer wanted it and left the restaurant. No real apology or attempt to put things right was made.
We had a difficult night due to the noise etc. and as we felt the hotel had really let us down we decided to leave. the receptionist then told us that the full 3 nights had been charged. We asked to speak with the manager and was told she wasn't available. We then asked if she could telephone her to confirm the two nights we would not be there would be refunded or to arrange a time when we could meet with her later in the day - the receptionist refused to do this and said the manager was a busy lady and had two children and she was not prepared to disturb her and that she had no authority to make the refund. We had no choice but to leave. I then sent an email and in the afternoon received a reply, not from the manager, but from the receptionist saying the refund for the two nights we would not be at the hotel had been made. There was no apology or gesture to compensate for the inconvenience caused to us and the stressful time we had experienced during our short stay at the hotel.
The Hotel was obviously understaffed and based on our booking badly managed. The manager said that as we had booked so early, i.e. in March, a lot had happened since then, which was really no excuse.
We certainly would not recommend this hotel and certainly if you are coeliac - gluten free it is somewhere to avoid.

Nice stay for one night

If you have luggage, small kids or you are an older tourist make note, there is no elevator! First floor is up a steep flight of stairs and then more stairs! You will have to drag your luggage up and down! If you are young and strong, no problem! The room was very big , clean and the mattresses comfortable. There is no microwave but there is a convenient coffee machine . The refrigerator is very very tiny, if you come with kids there is hardy room for a couple of small boxes or cans. Our sink was clogged and one lamp was not working. The concierge was friendly and very helpful.

Excellent Value!

We were happy that we chose to stay at Hotel Mont Tremblant for our ski vacation last week (4 nights). The hotel was charming and affordable. Karine, the hotel manager, made us feel welcome and comfortable. Our room was small, but nicely appointed. It was super clean and recently updated. We had a decent view of the lake, and the drive to the ski resort was less than 10 minutes (and at a fraction of the price that it would have been to stay in the resort village - we've stayed there before, but the price wasn't worth it). The restaurant offered pleasant service and a positive vibe (but limited vegetarian options, so we only ate there one night). We liked that there was a small fridge in the room to store leftovers, breakfast options and provisions for apres ski. Everything worked out great. We would definitely stay here again.
