We got the last ferry and it was running late, which means we were checking in at almost 2am. The front desk was still open and staffed and friendly. Even though our stay was only about 6 hours, it was clean comfortable and we wished we could’ve stayed longer. The breakfast was also a nice touch before we headed out.

Close Down Days Inn in Nanaimo

The staff were surly. The property is run down and the carpets are filthy. Worse i got 4 Bed Bug Bites from my overnight stay. This was a complete contrast to the three previous nights at the Victoria Days Inn on the Harbour. ThIs property should be closed down if Days Inn wants to retain a half decent reputation.

Hotel is clean, safe and accessible to every traveller’s needs and near to the ferry terminal. The breakfast was good and the staff was accommodating and keeps refill with food.

We had a wonderful stay overall! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome—their hospitality and helpfulness were top-notch throughout our visit. You also couldn't ask for a better location, which made getting around extremely convenient.
The property is currently undergoing renovations, so some rooms could use an upgrade with appliances. We booked two rooms during our stay: one was very nice and perfectly temperature-controlled, while the other had a few cooling issues, though it was still manageable.
Despite the ongoing updates, the excellent service and unbeatable location made our time here enjoyable, and we look forward to seeing the completed improvements on our next visit!

This is where I stay when I come visit Nanaimo. The staff are great, the restaurant is good!!! The only reason I gave a 3 is cuz it was being renovated, but that means improvement!!!!
