Breakfast free was basic but enough to geet you going...loved the ice water at the frint especially on hot days...close to le&n trail which i biked...nesr lots of great restaurants...i tried the barrel great fettucine

Lazy front desk- will not make up room, dirty!
The staff at this hotel was not helpful.
When we checked in, we noticed our bathroom was very dirty, the tub was disgusting as was the toilet. I went to front desk and requested that it be cleaned. It took a day to have it cleaned.I also noticed a small sign on the bathroom door that said you need to request the room made up. I requested each day to have ours made up just the bathroom, beds made, and the garbage changed nothing too much. Just what I’d expect had done as I am paying over $200 a night to stay here.
I had to repeatedly go down to the front office when returning back to the hotel during meetings, to request that the bed be made up. Out of three nights there our room was made up once. Garbage was left by the housekeeping staff - walked by it for 8hours in the main hallway- left by other guests.I brought this to the front desk attention. They kept blowing off. All I wanted was the room to be made up. It’s simple it says if you want it done to ask for it. Then I did.
I requested to have some refunded for the state of the bathroom. They said that they would check with the manager. The next day I requested about the bathroom issue. Front desk said the manager would be there when we check out. When we checked out there was no manager there. They told me that there’s nothing that they could do. I told them that this looks bad on their hotel. They blamed it on third party booking site. They told me that the manager would contact me through email.
No one has contacted me.

They have no pool, no fitness room, and the breakfast is crap. How they charge 300 to stay one night is beyond me. They just take advantage because they are one of two hotels in all of simcoe. The best western is riddled with Crack and methheads and they know that. 2 stats overall. Beds are comfortable and parking is free at least. They have a nice little spot with a BBQ and picnic benches if you want to cook for yourself

Meh.
The room was fine, except it would have been nice to include some bath gel since there was a nice bathtub. I would also suggest a deeper clean of the toilet under the rim, which was visible from the bathtub.
It was a disappointing breakfast in terms of choices for people with allergies and restrictions: there was no brown bread option, no non-dairy options for the coffee, and it would have been nice to see more fruits and some vegetables included in the choices. It was also disappointing not to have automatic doors and an elevator for the upper floor.

Had an issue with the bathroom sink on check in.. baddly clogged and not draining. The gentleman at the front desk responded right away and cleared up the issue. Wasn't really his job, but he took on the task and fixed it. 10 out of 10 for this.
