Vacation

Great location, five minutes to town, we stayed in
lovely little cottage #9. Clean , well decorated and cozy.
The owners are very helpful . We decided to stay one more night and, although that particular cottage was booked they helped us move to another one.
North Rustico has a lot to offer as far as restaurants, shops and beach.

Be careful with booking Rustico Acres Cottages.

Was advertised as dog friendly and when we arrived she refused for us to stay with dog. She kept cancellation even thought it was promoted as pet friendly on bookings.com. She told my husband F*. U. If at all possible avoid booking with these people. It was wrongly posted but she kept our cancellation fee anyway.

Fit our needs great for our weekend in Cavendish

We stayed in cottage 1 with 2 adults and 3 small children. The cottage had two queen beds, bathroom with shower/ tub and a small living space. There was a/c however it only cooled the one bedroom and living space. I regretted not bringing a fan for the other bedroom but other than that the cottage was great for our two night stay. The cottage was fully equipped with linens, toiletries and dishes. It has an old fashioned all in one fridge and stove unit. There is a pool and playground for the kids. A very short drive to Cavendish we were thrilled with our choice. We’d definitely stay there again for the price.

Leider nicht wie erwartet

Unsere Buchung erfolgte über Hotels.com. Leider waren die Angaben dort auf der Homepage durch und durch fehlerhaft. Wir hatten ein „traditional cottage“ gebucht. Als wir ankamen handelte es sich um eine Haushälfte, die uns nicht die erwartete Ruhe verschaffte (sehr hellhörig). Eine eigene Waschmaschine, wie versprochen, war ebenso nicht vorhanden (nur öffentlich auf dem Areal). Ein separates Wohnzimmer wie beschrieben gab es nicht. Es war wie in den meisten Hotelzimmern, alles in einem Raum. Alles in dem Cottage war sehr dunkel und die Möbel haben definitiv bessere Zeiten gesehen. Der Teppich war sehr alt. Alles etwas lieblos. Das Internet war insuffizient. Den Pool haben wir nicht benutzt.
Leider kann ich nicht sagen, wo das Problem mit der Diskrepanz entstanden ist, beim Eigentümer oder der Buchungsplattform. Also gut aufpassen, was geschrieben steht. Um eine Enttäuschung zu vermeiden.
Die Dame beim Empfang erschien uns aber stets freundlich.
