Convenient location and spacious room. Love the in-room laundry. A few homeless around the area but it’s not the problem of the hotel.

The location of this property is perfect for visiting downtown Ottawa. The room was clean and very spacious.
The only negative is the parking situation. Hotel parking was sold out. Found parking close by on night one, but on night two it was a nightmare to find parking.

Stayed at Les Suites for Ironman and was a very good location for this race. Would recommend for anyone who needs a kitchen and a super accommodation!

Really love this hotel! This is my second time staying here. The rooms are bright, spacious, and clean. All the staff are so genuinely friendly and helpful and the location is very convenient. Thank you for another lovely stay!

Pleasant, but Noisy/Smoky, Stay

Overall pleasant stay at Les Suites, customer service is top notch from the front desk staff, cleaning staff, security staff. Everyone is pleasant and helpful, and the problem-solving was fantastic.
- Be warned that suites on lower floors are noisy. We had previously stayed at Les Suites several times; this time, we were closer to the road, and the noise overnights was extremely loud (sirens, cars, people, rubbish disposal coming at 0400 on weekdays). We ended up realising that the head of the bed was right next to the rubbish disposal. You can imagine the noise.
- We also found the lower floor suites smoky. Initially thought this was smoke from the street floating up, but the internal corridor smelled of smoke most of the days we were in the hotel. There was some sort of workroom on the second floor from which the odour seemed to come. We also observed guests on balconies smoking during our stay as well, including over the courtyard area.
- Hotel does not provide paper towels or detergent for the washing machine. Shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner are in wall-mounted containers with sharp edges designed to limit use when squeezed. Hotel staff were very generous with towels, washing up liquid, and dishwasher pods.
- Cleaners were excellent and did a good job, customer service is overall excellent.
- Business centre is convenient and offers printing services.
- Suites themselves are comfortable; previously we had had king-sized beds, this time we unexpectedly had queens, so be sure to double-check the arrangements in advance. Our party found the pull-out couch comfortable but noisy. Pillowcases are plastic-like (noisy) but not uncomfortable
- Accessibility shower is actually a whole shower room of sorts, quite the experience but surprisingly okay to work with.
- Location is convenient, but a number of "sketchy" characters on the road, to the point where my family preferred to drive than walk after a couple trips to Byward Market/Rideau Centre and the canal. There is a heavy paramedic presence; not sure if this is because it is summer, but there seemed to be more of these characters that previously.
- Generally clean, rooms appear recently renovated, there were some old metal plates in the bathroom with what looked like either peanut butter or faeces smeared on them.
- Windows can open and there are balconies, which are nice if you are not too close to the road.
- Washer/dryer in room were convenient, needed to essentially slam washer door shut to get it to work, but we figured it out!!!
- Parking spaces can be tight, but we never had problems finding one

That said, I am sincerely sorry that several aspects of your stay did not meet expectations. I understand how frustrating it must have been to contend with noise from the street and waste collection, particularly when trying to get a good night's rest. It is also disappointing to learn that smoke odors were noticeable in both your suite area and the corridor. We strive to provide a comfortable environment for all guests, and I regret that this impacted your experience.
I would also like to apologize for the cleanliness and maintenance concerns you encountered, including the residue you found in the bathroom and the difficulty operating the washing machine. While I am pleased that our housekeeping team was otherwise able to provide excellent service during your stay, these issues should not have been overlooked. Your comments have been shared with our housekeeping and maintenance teams for immediate review.
It is encouraging to know that despite these challenges, you continued to enjoy many of the features that make Les Suites unique, including our spacious accommodations, business centre, in-suite laundry, balconies, and central location. I was especially happy to read that your family found the sofa bed comfortable and appreciated the convenience of having so much space during your visit.
