One of the best stays we have had in a very long time !! Superb room with fantastic facilities -- staff were excellent and outdoor lounging area made it perfect. Being able to bring along our small pet dog was the icing on the cake !!! We will be back :)

The room was spacious and clean. The bed was really comfortable. The staff were very nice and accommodating. We, including our dog were very happy and comfortable during our stay. Will definitely book here again if we decide to return to Parksville sometime in the future.

The room was newly renovated, but was not clean. No replenishment of supplies, towels, room cleaning or making of beds. They took our money for a four night stay and disapeared. We asked at the desk why cleaning wasn't done in our room after the first night and they informed us that this was a "Family Run" hotel and mostly "Family" stayed it this hotel and they are all aware of their cleaning policies. I told him that I am not family, but expected better for the cost of the room. I "requested" cleaning for the rest of our stay. They cleaned the room (but not the bathroom as per photo) and left us fresh towels the next day. The following day, no cleaning was done. No staff attempted to do anything in our room. As well the guy at the check in counter on the day we arrived had such strong body odor I had to stad 3 feet back from the desk as I was checking in. I would not recommend this Motel to anyone by FAMILY MEMBERS of the owner.

Beautiful freshly renovated property

We had an amazing stay at Tides Out! We had originally booked a family suite but due to the renovations it wasn't ready by our check in date. They instead gave us 2 rooms, one with a kitchen at no additional cost.
The beds were very comfortable and the renovations are beautiful! The staff was very helpful and so friendly.
The only slight concern I would mention is that if you have mobility issues the bathroom may be hard to navigate as they are very small. But the shower is large and has a lovely rain shower as well as a hand wand.
We would absolutely stay here again!

The family suit was very spacious. Check in was quick and easy and the property was very dog friendly. We enjoyed the free mini golf and being so close to the Beach.
The room amenities were very basic. No regular coffee, weird toilet paper. No low lighting/lamps only very bright overhead highlighting.
Also, so water bottle fill station onsite. Overall, a great value in Parksville if you aren’t too caught up in the small details.
