Clean cozy place to stay in Town of parry sound

nice clean place, cozy, balcony was great, staff was helpful, next door guest was making noise, staff intervened, and requested to slow down, good customer service

My son and I really enjoyed our stay and I was most impressed with the clean washrooms and beautiful tiling in the bathroom. Free toothbrushes, comb etc and breakfast make this a definite stop for the future when we are on our way to Sudbury and need to break up the long trip!

No one there at check-in

We arrived at 6 pm. I don't remember what time I said we'd check in, I may have said around 4 pm. There was no one in the office. My husband kept ringing the bell, no one came. We finally had to call the hotel phone number, I saw a car pull up a few minutes later, saw someone unlock a door behind the office and go in, so I assume that is who came to check us in. After a long drive, my husband was pretty annoyed that there was no one there when we arrived. It's not like we arrived in the middle of the night.
The first thing we noticed when we walked in was 2 extremely large/long maxi pads (?) sitting on a bench by the door. That was strange.
The room was clean and spacious enough. The bathroom is updated but small. It had a window that could be opened. The window ledge was pretty much the only area where one could set out a couple of products. No vanity area around the sink. No plug for the bathtub if you wish to take a bath. Also no bathmat or grips on the floor of the bathtub. Slip risk. Made me a little nervous.
There are a few stairs to get up into the room, and one really large step up to the curb. Just in case someone is looking at accessibility issues.
The room was quiet, the beds were comfortable. I put some leftover pizza in the fridge one evening, and it was semi frozen in the morning when I went to have a piece for breakfast.
I appreciated the bench by the door in front of a mirror. I sat there to dry and style my hair one morning.

Parking was easy, breakfast was nothing special and the place needs some serious upgrades.

Great place to stay if you're in Parry Sound. Very clean and comfortable rooms! Crispy air conditioning for the summer & a 24hr front desk is always a bonus.
