Best Location. Best Service.
My husband and I just returned from a fantastic trip to Quebec City. I really wanted to write a review for the hotel because of the exceptional service. We travel a lot and the first thing I look for in reviews is if the room is clean. Our room at Place D'Armes room was very clean. We were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm. The manager helped us to our room with our luggage with enthusiasm. The restaurant staff were friendly and accommodating with some dietary issues I have.
The brightest and most helpful lady, I think her name was Sandrine, was just the best. She greeted us each day with genuine warmth and offered to book us a taxi the day we left for the airport. She was the last person we had contact with at the hotel and she made a great impression on us. Well done!
I will say too that the hotel is in the best location. It's across the square from the Frontenac hotel. It's in the middle of everything. Our room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. We loved it.

Great place to stay!
The staff at the front desk were very nice, helpful and informative. We stayed in the attic room which was very cute and cozy (just watch your head on the beam!) and the location is very central to many shops and restaurants.

It is a perfectly located hotel for joining local tours and proximity to the Fairmont. Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel has a very nice restaurant on the ground level (le bouchette) where you can get food anytime of the day. The room was charming with a “woodsy” cabin decor. Only challenge was climbing the stairs to the top floor (no elevator) after dinner/beverages. Overall the experience was great.

This is the nicest Quebec City hotel we have stayed in. Despite being right on a very busy pedestrian street, it was wonderfully quiet in our room. Although there is no parking at the hotel, it is very convenient to the City Hall underground parking garage at $20 Canadian a day, enter from Cote de la Fabrique, and the pedestrian exit is near the corner of Rue des Jardins and Rue Sainte Anne.
Breakfast was delicious and reasonable for a tourist town. The staff was friendly and helpful and bilingual. Will definitely plan to stay there again.

My family with teens shared two rooms. The teens, and of course my husband and I, were impressed with the atmosphere and old Quebec feel. It was a great location with very helpful and welcoming staff. The bartender was great. One shower was not built for 6’4 but the other was just fine. Would highly recommend if you’re ok with stairs!
